General Videogame Thread

Anybody subscribed to ps+ extra or above gets access to "thank goodness you're here" today. Just taking this chance to urge everybody to play this game, it's a masterpiece. the funniest game I've ever seen. The only time I've ever watched somebody else play a game as its all about the comedy and just as good watching it, I've done so multiple times as there is so many missable gags to just see it through once. Play it, it's reyt good.

The game is hard to explain in a way that sounds appealing, it's set in a fictional version of Barnsley in the 80's with cartoon graphics and incredibly simple gameplay, you just move and interact with the environment and people within it by slapping them. it's only a few hours long too, can do it in one sitting but it's genuinely brilliant.

Here's the games intro, worth watching for a taste.

Gutted it's free now as I paid £15 for it about a month ago

Fully agree about the comedy tho, it's great

I stopped buying games precisely for this reason. I subscribe to ps+premium (even that I'm grandfathered in at reduced £65 a year as I used to have ps now) and it provides me with more games than I can get through even though I play a lot so there is just no need to be buying anything anymore.

Most games come to the service eventually and ones that don't i don't end up missing as I've always got something to play anyway.

I stopped playing online stuff years ago so I don't mind being a year or so behind on games. I think I've bought 3 games since the pandemic, yet games i've finished in the same timeframe would tally into the hundreds by now.

Yeah, I have the Extra and to be honest I get plenty on there - there's such a huge backlog of games and in truth I don't have the time to play them anyway

It's absolutely brilliant. Probably the funniest game I've ever played. Love the language option where you can change it from Yorkshire to proper English!!

It's how packed with jokes it is that impresses me the most. There is so many jokes that you can completely miss if you don't do something and so many small background gags that can easily be missed like the graffiti on walls and signs etc.
 
FM26 - Not the game we were all hoping for after over a year of development. However, I've paid for it and so I'm playing it.

End of my Second Season with Nottingham Forest, after 37 games played I've just secured 4th Spot. My last game of the season is away at Man Utd - who are 19th. If I win or draw, they're down! Can't wait to get home from work and hopefully seal their fate!!

Yeah thats what I've played the redsec. Highest I've finished is 13th with 3 kills. Had a couple of hours on it on Sunday, but it feels proper clunky on the controls unlike COD.

And I can't go back to COD with the amount of cheats on the game

Only thing I dip in and out of now is the warzone casuals which I enjoy. Mix of bots and players and unlike full on warzone which is just unplayable on the whole it lets you feel like you’ve had a good go.

Redsec felt like an unfinished game it was so clunky and messy. May improve over time but a million miles of the gameplay of COD.
