Thanks pal. Honestly speaking my experience is that folk here cannot stand the English media in the build up to and during tournaments etc, rather than hate England or the English people themselves. I have English amongst my family, I love them dearly. It's also hypocritical since I love City and travelling to Manchester when I can. Friendly banter should never be taken away, but it should also never go beyond that and won't do for me.

For what it's worth I hate the English media too, for the most part. I genuinely would love it if England won the final against yourselves, or Wales etc.

I doubt many will labour under the illusion of achieving anything more, but they earned the right to go by dint of their earlier performances. Clarke's teams are dour but capable of frustrating opponents and picking up a point, and with 48 teams they might even get two.

The standard of players they have with their lack of technical ability, will get badly shown up when it's scorching hot, next summer. You need to be able to keep the ball and make the other teams run in those conditions. Not hoof it or give it away after a couple of passes. I'm standing by 3 defeats.

Yes, but those three would be hard pressed to make pot 3 in the real world. Canada wouldn't even have qualified!

Much will depend on the draw, and the heat can debilitate better sides. Look at us last summer.

I guess I'll have to hope for Ukraine, Kosovo and Northern Ireland. Still doubt the Czech team would qualify though even with that draw.

Of those three , you can only get Kosovo in the next round.

Oh they're much better than us. We have a half decent centre midfield and really not much else, especially since Doak went off who is literally our only natural winger.

Steve Clarke has worked wonders with what he's got at his disposal. Qualifying for the world cup with that squad above the Danes and a decent enough Greece side.

Superb, I was a kid the last time I seen us at a world cup.

Some amazing goals to get us there too.
