I said before this season that this was a make or break season for Doku and Savinho. Doku has stepped up and been immense and savinho is still a work in progress

Doku's overall performances are at a very high level now. He has 17 goal contributions!!

I am glad that his international games are now over. I think they have helped to grow his confidence but it must be energy sapping playing in Europe for Belgium, and then playing in the Premier League. I have sensed some burnout after previous international weeks from which it takes Doku some time to recover.

Don’t really think it is unfair. Some of the stick he’s received has been. Think it’s fair to say he needs to kick on this season (he’s definitely got the ability to do so).I think if he’s not a regular towards the business end of the season when we start to have a pretty settled side i reckon he’ll be off next summer.

Wait who is the first?

He was always a decent goal scorer.

But he 1) barely took any shots and 2) was always so far away from goal.

The one simple change of him playing more narrow, which Belgium also seem to be doing, massively improves both aspects.

The thing is he still barely takes any shots. Yesterday it was two goals from two shots. Few days ago he almost scored another goal very similar to the cracker against Liverpool but that was pretty much his only shot.

Hes a decent finisher, but being a decent scorer is more about being in a position to score rather than finishing. As Pep said he is never going to be a volume scorer, but he can definitely be a volume creator if he keeps playing smart and continues to work hard on the pitch.

With Doku, we’ve seen flashes of brilliance but the final product wasn’t there. So he was on a shorter leash but he has answered the call and made himself into a supreme baller. Savinho has only been here a year and was decent at best. So he has a little longer leash. But he needs to take his opportunities

This is big boy football. Cant coddle them forever. Doku has taken the challenge and is ballin!!! Savinho gets a longer leash but this is year 2. Sane improved greatly from year 1 to 2. I hope he steps up too

You really should know better. I’ve seen clips of the Haaland bloke but he just doesn’t touch the ball enough for me amd that would be another catastrophic mistake, were we to buy him.
