Wayne Rooney

Unsurprisingly Rooney’s tiny mind is focusing on the wrong target.

I’d say Dean’s decision to blow at just over 95 minutes, given the amount of disruption to open play during injury time, was far more open to question than the actions of the QPR players in that period. There was a considerable delay in QPR restarting after Dzeko’s goal and more importantly from Sergio’s goal hitting the back of the net, to QPR being able to subsequently kick off, was over two minutes and yet he only went about 30 seconds over the minimum five minutes he had indicated just before the board went up. For at least half of the time afforded in injury time (including those extra 30 seconds) the ball was not in play.

I’d have been fucking fuming if United had been afforded that level of generosity in those circumstances.
Don’t doubt your time keeping but it’s the opposite to what I recall!
Watching in a bar in Boston the place exploded when Aguero scored. I just recall going mental and jumping up and down, hugging every Blue, Chelsea and Liverpool fans joining in and this seemed to go on for ages when I then looked up at the screen and noted the game was still on!
I shouted that the game was still on and everyone dropped the celebration and we were all very nervous, screaming at the ref to blow every time QPR got the ball. Finally, after what seemed to be a few minutes (but probably wasn’t even 30 seconds) the ref blew and the celebrations began as the rags in the corner made their exit

He wanted to easily generate controversy/debate and he's got it.

He doesn't care if you think he's a fat, granny shagger or any other insult. He'll be well happy and he's made the headlines and he'll be laughing about it.

Wish people would stop being so gullible with social media and peoples opinions.

People say stupid things they don't really think to gain attention and so many are falling for it.

Yes, this may be true, but he's using the BBC as a platform to air his somewhat narrow-minded views, the same as his former teammate does on Sly Sports. It is wrong on every level that former players should be able to preach their opinions to such a vast audience like these two can, and do.
We get it, since the takeover we have become the club many people say they dislike, do we care? Not a fucking chance. But it would be nice if on the odd occasion one of our ex-players was given the chance to respond in kind and allowed to make disparaging remarks about the rags and the dippers.

Never hear the fat bastard mention that Sunderland had O'Shea, Bardsley and Fraizer Campbell in their starting eleven. Kieran Richardson was also there but out injured that magnificent day.
Frazier Campbell, quite possibly the worst player to ever earn an England cap.

1 cap in 2012, donated by "caretaker" Stuart Pearce after scoring 6 league goals in four years. He came on after 80 mins of a friendly against Netherlands and that was it for his international career.

His best goalscoring season since then was 12, in the Championship for Hull.

Somebody definitely made a packet from him getting a cap... :D

I listened to big ste this morning on tic tok and he had this debate on the qpr game bang on the real issue here was the rags bottling an 8 point lead with 6 games left that's what should be discussed, you lost get over it talk about entitled rags, wankers
The fact the rags came to City as table toppers, parked the bus and didn’t have one shot on target

Just read a piece on the BBC website, asking “what has gone wrong at Plymouth Argyle?
The writer will be sacked for this……

But to then turn the shotgun on ourselves the summer after survival, and to appoint Wayne Rooney was just a massive error on everybody's part really.

"It wasn't for the want of Wayne's best efforts, but for a data-driven club there wasn't a shred of data that suggested Wayne Rooney was the right fit for the role, or even worthy of an interview for the role frankly."

He’s getting absolute pelters online for what’s he’s said about Haaland. I suspect that’s his aim all along, to be controversial.

Struggled as a manager
Looks like a ****
Can’t keep his dick in his pants
What to try next? Oh I know, I’ll be a controversial ****.
The more stupid the comments, the bigger the reaction, the more revenue.

Apparently Rooney has divulged that in the 2010-11 season his contract was for £17m per year!!! That equates to £326,923 per week. Without admitedly having done a moments research into this, surely at that time that must have been by far the biggest contact in the Premier League. And the best part of this is that it was probably prompted by City. If memory serves me correctly, there were rumours shortly before this time that Rooney was considering a move to City. The rags must have been freaked out by this and offered him this mega deal to stay. It's nice to know we inflicted some serious costs on their balance sheet!

I’ve literally just watched that episode. Neville was on £1.75m per year at his highest wage. I’m fairness Neville had a good few digs at Rooney during it about his treatment of the rags. Rooney just sat there with his big fat, fuck off face looking pissed off.

That show is rag tv the majority of the guests are rag related!

Robbing £800K of the license fee payers money each year utter disgrace Im glad I dont contribute

The number of times the rags were afforded more time added on that there should have been is incapable there's are fact that if they weren't winning at OT then the ref would add more than if the opposite was the case
There should be questions asked about the rags game at Hillsbrough and the time added on when Bruce scored to win them that game

During the 1992-93 campaign Sheffield Wednesday and the rags played out two memorable contests. They shared six goals evenly on Boxing Day, while two late goals from Bruce in the return fixture sealed a 2-1 win for United and is often credited as the most crucial result on their run to the title.
I still remember where I was, when I heard that the rags had scored again.

And years after, I was chatting with a Wednesday supporter, and he knew exactly which game and goal I was referring to.

I concur as your post is an excellent example of this phenomenon.

I had an acquaintance at the time who was a big mate of Garry Cooke He asked me if I would like Rooney at City to which I replied no chance, then queried as to why the question? He explained that the rags were trying to offload him and thought City might be interested. It was raised at a UEFA UCL event when Garry had dinner with the Gill, Garry said he take it back and ask Mancini who wasn't keen.

In common with a number of things the BBC can be criticised for, including the recently highlighted and damaging loss of credibility of some senior executives, the employment of Rooney is just another.

Their management will not doubt be pleased with his signing, as it fits in perfectly with their ideology of pandering to rag/dipper followers, and hopefully swell their moronic audience figures. Objective achieved.

Demonstrating his failings as a football pundit, failed manager and taking into account his well-documented relationships/indiscretions regarding his female companions of various persuasions, clearly presented no barrier or issues regarding their integrity, for the presumably highly paid executive(s) employed to spend more of the publicly funded organisation's budget.

Just another day on the media shop floor !

I thought it emerged a few years ago that the rumours about shrek possibly joining City were put about by the pisscan and Gill, to fool the rags into giving the ugly, fat, granny-shagging Scouser à new contract that was as fat as he is now.
