Mate,I said never again after losing my Manchester Terrier after 17 years,got another dog 2 weeks later from a lad at work who said he couldn't cope with a dog( was a springer spaniel,fucking bonkers)and so glad i did,really helped but obviously still missed the old girl.

Condolences. I’m dreading that day.

Came up as a FB memory today. Four years ago we came very close to losing our girl Daisy.
A grass seed she had swallowed had lodged in her lung and caused a huge abscess.
A week in vet hospital, an enormous scar (a nine and a half grand bill) and home recovering ... Pep looking after her here.
No lasting effects and was flying around the beach this morning as usual.

Luckily insured up to £8.5k. And yes, it's a license to print money. The hospital in Wakefield was like a BUPA place ... still free coffee ;-)
