PL Clubs vote against anchoring but vote for SCR

That SCR at 85% really won’t effect us because you have to abide to uefa rules that’s around 70%

Guess that having the PL one at 85% then does give room for teams to push it a bit to try and catch/overtake those in Europe, but doesn't let them overdo it.

Still a bit shit and artificial, just let everyone do what they want.

BREAKING: PL clubs vote against anchoring, 12-7. More @MailSport soon.

Funny how the moment the people who were pushing for it leave their clubs, it falls apart.

These people are not remotely arsed about the future or health of the league.

It should never have gone to a vote, it would have been the start of the PL's downfall as the number 1 league.

It’s actually staggering how it got proposed and how did these chancers weald so much influence, can others not think for themselves or at that time were promised something or pressured, but that’s irrelevant now as it’s failed..

Kind of but anchored to team finishing 20th revenue. Absolutely bonkers to even be considered.

I think in a way, it had potential - though I've already slagged it off, but this is the other side of the argument.

If the league is failing, the top teams can spend less, so they're part of wanting the league to be strong overall. Everyone benefits from the league being seen as the best.

However, that could also lead to some contrived close finishes thanks to debatable refereeing decisions, but maybe that's what we have anyway...

SCR feels like the clubs at the top are finally being honest about what FFP and PSR was all about.

They don't want upstarts coming in and threatening their status in the league, they want to hold their position at the top forever even if they're shite on the pitch. Spending linked to revenue is one way of doing that.

To be fair, if they had them then it would have been a lot harder for us to win titles under Mancini & Pelegrini and attract Pep.

We're in with the big boys now and stuff like this helps keep us there. Shit rules or not. Whether it helps us be better than major European teams is a different thing entirely.
