Excellent that we have no fresh injury concerns unless Pep throws us a surprise tomorrow.

Rodri & Kova were always missing out so the 11 pretty much picks itself

Donnarumma

Nunes Dias Gvardiol O'Reily

Bernardo Gonzalez Reijnders

Foden Haaland Doku

Have a feeling Cherki will be replaced by Reijnders for a little more stability in the middle, Foden on the Right but moving inside when Nunes overlaps.

3pts would be absolutely beautiful with the set of very winnable league fixtures from now till Jan 1st, we could make a real statement.

Come on you blues.

Leeds (H)
Fulham (A)
Sunderland (H)
Palace (A)
West Ham (H)
Forest (A)
Sunderland (A) New Years day 8pm

I doubt Pep will change Foden's position vs Newcastle, which is more of an 8 than a 10 right now. That means that Cherki/Savinho starts on the right. Or Bernardo, if Pep really wants Reijnders in there.

Worry for Rodri. I thought he himself said he would be fit for the next game. That seems weeks ago are they hiding something? I see that over the road Martinez is ready to comeback and I think he did his cruciate after Rodri. We haven't had a great record with Dr Cugat if he is still doing the ops, see Mendy and La Porte. Hopefully it is a muscle injury but wouldn't be surprised if he had to have another op. The transfer window may tell us something with Kovacic out also.

Love beating the Barcodes. They have dodgy owners (Saudi as opposed to ours) yet get a free ride from the Meeeja

Wait until they start winning leagues or CL's

Nobody really cared about our owners apart until after 93:20. We were a bit of a laughing stock for signing mercenaries and average players on big money contracts.

Only Wenger really went in on us, mainly because we were asset stripping his best players.

Once we proved we could consistently win, it all changed.

I don't think he went to Cugat. Did his own research and chose someone else unless I'm mistaken.

Edit
The surgeon who performed Rodri's cruciate ligament operation was Dr. Manuel Leyes.
Rodri, the Manchester City midfielder, chose Dr. Leyes to perform the surgery in Madrid after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear and meniscus damage in September 2024. Dr. Leyes is a highly regarded specialist in knee injuries within the football community and has also operated on other high-profile players, including Real Madrid stars Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao

Saudis and journalists, terrible consequences if you cross them. Makes the other cult seem like schoolchildren. But hey ho, they passed the PL fit and proper owners test.

Best XI for the big games.
totally agree, i think thats our best 11 right now.

BUT i think Savinho will play cos he's rested the intl break.

I think it is potentially our best for sure.
I see Reijnders as the Foden back up, not a deeper lying player.
Savinho and Bobb are the Cherki competition, with Bobb also able to play more central.
If Reigan Heskey continues his development, he may end up as the Doku alternative, though there is some speculation about a left sided player in Germany.
