Like the lineup, feel like we could batter them. Also have the nagging doubt in the back of my mind that we're going to have to slog through this one. All that to say, comon blues!

The Boys in Blue never give in, they fight to the end. Come on City come on City, show 'em lads show 'em all. Especially the magpies who can only nip at us but can't bite!!
Especially the know nowt so called media types who wouldn't know a football from sling ball. The silly buffle heads that they are they sit there being mandrake mymmerkins pretending to know what they are talking about.
Especially the so called officials who have no idea of the rules. Official fustilugs, whiffle whaffle who have no idea who we are.
We are MANCHESTER CITY, THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD.

Pep I am disappointed that you haven't put JB in the starting line up if only to show the folks who think he always comes back from International duty with an injury that he DOES NOT!!! :-)

Come on City.

Barcodes are just 1 point above the relegation places as it stands ffs.

Which would make a draw or loss unnacceptable.

We are going for a league title here, time to make a statement.

There is a reason why Newcastle are down there. They are bang average.

Good tough test at their home with both of their best fullbacks in Hall and Livramento back.

Win this and make it clear we are serious for the title this season, we aren't just building for next season.

They aren’t bang average at all. Yes they’ve been out of form this season, but a few wins and they’d be back up there.

It’s not unacceptable or awful to draw against Newcastle is it. They’ve got some Brilliant players

As it is, for me it is.

We need to prove title credentials today by finally winning a big game away from home and put the pressure on Arsenal.

A loss here in particular would prove once again this City team cannot compete away from home and will not win the league,

Liverpool and Arsenal both won here this season

No complaints about the team it was always gonna one of cherki rudy or sav. The rest pick themselves atm.

Come on lads let's start with the right tempo from the off.

For an away game like this I might have preferred Reijnders over Cherki, with Foden wide, but Reijnders went away with the Netherlands so I can understand why Pep has given him this one off.
Like i was saying to NM earlier, Foden is not moving off the Center. Its like moving peak Kevin to wing to accommodate Gundogan.

Its weakening 2 positions to do that.

Love the lineup, this is the lineup that needs games together - Nice options on the bench too. Just have to keep an eye on the dirty git Joelinton who will try and injure Cherki, Phil or Nico - Glad Kusa gets the nod over Lewis as we may need him to come on and nobble the dirty one!

Nah! Villa away was a result of having no DM. No Rodri, Nico or Kova. We were playing with Tijanni as a makeshift DM.

With Nico we either drop Tijanni.or play Silva as a defensive Right winher who plays mostly in the space to the middle and right while Nunes gets the line.

Moving Phil is bad form.
Bernardo can't play right wing anymore, reijnders can't play central midfield, you're making us worse in 2/3 positions to get foden central when he's the the one who would suffer the least from a slight change of position. All redundant talk anyway now.
