So they’ve confirmed it was his elbow that kept Bruno G onside.

Does it not work the same for defenders in terms of body parts?

If Bruno G was onside by his elbow, then he’s be judged to be offside wouldn’t he because he can’t score with that body part? Same way Ruben wouldn’t be allowed (though they were today!) to use his elbow to block a shot?
Thiaw blocked a shot with a part of his body you can't score with, so clearly you're right in saying that it didn't apply today.

The biggest thing about the "goal" that is wrong with the graphic, is when they showed (and stopped) the replay, several times, both of Dias feet are on the floor, and he wasn't jumping, so his arms weren't up either, and the player was a yard offside, so the graphic is pure made up bollocks anyway.

I didn't think the foul on Foden was a foul at first, it was only from the replay you could see he was caught after he got his shot off, if the referee thought the same as me, then I can see why it's not given, and I'm not sure it's "clear and obvious", whatever that now is.

The handball I never noticed at the time, but his arm isn't natural, and on the way up, so that should be given, especially after being reviewed.

The Dias one's are never given, they should be, but they aren't, not until the players have been warned about 10 times first, and lets face the attackers are as guilty as the defenders. This pulling/pushing at corners should be clamped down on, on both sides, and cards given, on both sides. It would soon stop.

I don’t trust that graphic at all.

However, based on it I’m confused that it is taken from the inside of his arm and not the outside.

Why?

With AI being a big up and coming thing I really don’t trust the cartoon / gaming images I’m being shown .
When I first saw the very briefly replay thought definitely offside and most of in the room were confident his foot is offside .
What’s occurred is some sort of computer manipulation of something that didn’t happen !!

Yes, because Dias was standing not jumping. Manipulation cheating.

To give the hard of thinking, the match outcome organisers and those with only superficial curiosity visual evidence that it was in fact the correct decision.

Quite a few posters on here have mentioned the graphic of Dias jumping when he wasn't. They are therefore calling out Var.
This is Var that was brought in to stop controversy.

Good to see it's working so well
Ha ha ha where’s our resident VAR expert?
It’s making the game “less corrupt “ and, less we forget, “all fans were asking for VAR”.

I'd love to see the goal they give after the ball bounces off that part of Dias' arm at the other end.

And they wonder why var is so controversial...

I have a horrible feeling that the berks at st George's have literally used Dias' shirt sleeve as the measurement point rather than anatomy. Queue the era of players playing in tank tops...

Why don't they show the real time image with the lines drawn? What is this illustration which seems to be drawn on a fu**ing software by some novice graphic designer and which noway matches the actual gameplay? Took ages to show on TV as well, well after 2 minutes after the goal confirmation!

Fairness and clarity; yeah right!!

Forget the offside, I've just seen the Dias interview. He states and sky footage shows that for the second goal you can see Donnarumma is clearly pushed forward by Barnes. Effectively pushing him away from where the ball is heading. It's a clear foul.
Var didn't even bother looking at it.
They are not fit for purpose.

Call it for what it is - bent as fuck.

I watched it on some foreign channel.
Straight after the goal.
They showed a picture showing he was off side.
No more pictures after.
Ten minutes after the goal my son in law showed me a var computer pic what ever it is .
He was off in that pic.
A minute later .
He said hand on its different now it's showing him on side.
Manipuating the imagine to suit the agenda.
And because cunts at sky and some ex ref on Monday say it fine people accept it.
It wouldn't bother me if I never watched a football game ever again.
Growing up man city was my life.
Everything.
Even though we were shit.
They were me one true love

Your man city.
Your my love.
Your man city your the one I love.

We used to sing that.

It's gone now.
