yeah we aren't winning the title like this i'm afraid

edit : what i mean to say is that when you're already chasing arsenal 6 points behind the last thing you need for a title change is to lose the next game. we need to go on a run and we just don't seem to be able to do that at the moment. Even a draw would have been something.

It’s absolutely fucking MENTAL that it took so long to call, when the INITIAL PICTURES showed he was OFFSIDE…and it took 10 mins to find an “automated offside” view they could use to show him ONSIDE.

That’s not only late, but high and EYES CLOSED WITH TWO FEET OFF THE GROUND, so couldn’t possibly have been in control!

“He got his shot off” only proves the point of HOW FUCKING LATE THE FOUL WAS!!

It should have been a red card and a penalty. And, I’m saying RED, not just because it was a foul on an obvious goal scoring opportunity, but because it was serious foul play that WOULD have broken his ankle or worse if his foot had been planted.

How Pawson on VAR cannot call that foul is not only a joke, but tantamount to CHEATING! There I said it! THAT, RIGHT THERE, IS CHEATING!!

Look at what got yellow cards later in the game and compare them to that challenge! Night and fucking day!!

You are absolutely right.That was my first impression,the tackle was more like an attack on Foden
Wild lunge,missed the ball,could have broken his leg...let's get serious about this.
And all the officials on the pitch....and their mates in the park down south....
What's that ..about 10 Professional men....couldn't see that after looking at it for 4 mins ?
I sensed it ,as it happened.

Penalty for Foden every day of the week.if you clear somebody out after they play the ball it’s a penalty . Didn’t Arsenal get a penalty against us after Ederson cleared out someone (can’t remember who) after they had a shot?

And the offside … we were all showed an offside line which showed about half a foot of daylight between the defenders shoulder and the goal like which the defenders was stood one

Didn‘t play very well, so no major complaints about the result.
Decisions were farcical though. Clear foul on Foden, their winner obviously offside. That second one stunningly bent.

Palace certainly. Teams that run as hard and are physically imposing seem to cause us problems away.

We are still a long way from being the finished article.

I’ve been pleased with the way we have played at home. Much more entertaining but some of the away performances by comparison have been dross. We only seem to be able to play for 45 minutes away and when we go behind we just don’t look like turning the game around. We were dreadful in that last 25 mins. No attempts of any significance.

I completely agree. The calls were one of them but missing our chances was the biggest issue and that’s the issue which keeps repeating itself

That’s the new set up. Both wingers inverted. Full backs providing width. Worked well against Liverpool.

I’m in fuerteventura , watched the game in a bar sat next to a geordie , Schar took Foden out he said penalty straight away .
He shook his head and said he couldn’t believe it wasn’t given , if it was the other way round he’d of gone mental .

Red card and a pen all day for me.

Went to the game. When you’re there you can’t really opine on the close calls. VAR for their goal was as joke - it took a stupid amount of time. On the basis they gave it anyway, just say too close to csll, refs decision stands - goal.
We actually controlled large portions of the game but just didn’t create nearly enough chances. Doku must have had his worst game of the season and Phil was nigh on invisible.
Fair play the barcodes set up to stifle us and it worked. And they could have been 3-0 up at HT but for Gigi. He really is a magnificent goalkeeper.
Shit happens move on. Cheering for Spuds tomorrow, with a bit of shame.
