The only blot on O’Reilly was the first goal. He should have headed it / passed it back to Donna but kicked it forward straight to a Geordie and a few passes later it’s in the back of the net

If it was just the Bournemouth goal I'd be less concerned but he can't keep blaming the referee for being blocked as it happens in every game.

No one really played particularly well, if we're being honest. Donnarumma made some decent saves, but his distribution was poor and he's becoming a bit of a liability on corners. Needs to toughen up, because the refs aren't going to give him the protection that he expects.

O' Reilly awkwardly went to clear the ball with his left foot, when his position was more suited for a right footed clearance ...... that was the problem, and the reason why his clearance was so weak, he was off balance ..... if he can't play with his right foot then yes, he should have attempted to get the ball back to Donnarumma with his left foot.

Yeah but can you imagine taking the blow that Phil did with that lunging tackle which should have been a straight red.,.early in the game. You saw him react with the pain. I bet Foden battled on for the rest of the match with a battered left foot.....that has to come into consideration when assessing his performance. I don't think Phil is one to feign injury....I think he should be commended for seeing the game out,players with lesser resolve would have hid. Foden didn't,blue to the core,he did his best,imo,whilst being battered by a Newcastle midfield which had the refs backing to carry out their thuggery.
I honestly think folk forget the effect an early heavy tackle can have on a players performance....

What actually is the story behind the hand injury..?
That's got to affect his balance,poise touch and composure........fucking hell id not even thought of that.
Foden is actually a warrior,a true Blue determined unit,my respect for the player goes up each week it seems.
Probably the most naturally gifted English midfield player of his generation ,gets taken out with a violent lunge....and no foul no yellow or red card no penalty,no real discussion of the incident by var......if that has been ,in the old days Hoddle,Beckham, Gascgoine or Trevor brooking....that tackle would not have been dismissed by the commentary.......
I'm still very angry about the decision ,not least because it was such an amazing peice of measured silky passing approach play which led up to it,featuring an inverted Doku who knew exactly what his fox in the box role was..and played the perfect pass to Phil,David Silva esq
...And those moments of absolute sublime footballing brilliance are forgotten about with a
Oh var have checked it and found nothing wrong...wtf
