Can't disagree too much with that with the caveat that the best version of Foden gets in but that's not always the version you get. Personally for the way we play I like Raya but still have PTSD for how Donnarumma saved chance after chance for PSG last season against us so again I'm not going to argue the point too much.

I really like Gvardiol as well and would take him as a marauding, inverting left back over Calafiori, but not at CB.

City are one (serious) Haaland injury away from being fucked attack and goal wise.

Hopefully Haaland will go through the whole season without getting injured, but there’s no guarantee of that.

Prior to beating City, Villa had lost 1, drawn 1, and won 1 at home. Hardly an impressive home record.

Newcastle have won 4 and lost 2 at home.

What about the loss at home to Spurs, or did you ignore that result on purpose?

So if we played Liverpool at Anfield next week you would be extremely disappointed if we didn’t win? Because their recent home record is terrible.

Or maybe you can accept that the Newcastles & Villas despite being out of form are still very good teams with very good players and especially when a big team comes to their home ground they are capable of raising their game

That isn’t me being negative or defeatist about City.

Most forum members on this thread will tell you Arsenal have a better team and a better squad than City. City are still in transition, with a team and a squad that isn’t as good as it used to be. I think City can and will challenge for the title. But I think City will fall short this season. For me Arsenal are the clear favourites to win the title. But that doesn’t mean they will. We’ll find out at the end of the season.
