Exactly! Hamburg had ultras, a drum and were louder from what I can remember than Leverkusen last night.

None of that mattered. We outsung them from the first minute. Like I said pricing helps massively and how big the game is.

The idea that we can’t outsing 1,500 fans because of a drum is a lame excuse

All PL clubs make exceptions for the Ultras on Police advice.

I was filming the Ultras stood still and chanting before they were escorted to the away end.

A Police officer came over and told me they don't like being filmed, and to watch my mobile, as it might get snatched as the Ultras passed me by.
A police officer? What the fuck mate, are you twelve ? Get a grip, accept that other fans who you , obviously look down upon, may have different opinions and anecdotes. You seem to have a hell of a lot of time on your hands to contribute to almost every single thread or topic I happen to happily stumble across. Mate, get a life and become proactive not reactive.

The BAN the drum thread got me thinking as somebody mentioned the Aris fans.

I found the thread from 2011.

That’s right, 14 years ago.

Everybody on the thread praised the Aris fans and their incredible support, which included using large drums (scroll through the thread), which I took pictures of in the luggage compartment on one of the coaches. I no longer have the pictures. The drums were massive. I got talking to a Aris fan sat next to the drums. Big Greek lad!

How times and opinions of drums have changed, the use of them, and the views of the European Ultra and away support in general.

Pictures here.

Sadly the pictures are a bit blurred.

The good old days, when European games attracted our local support with affordable ticket prices, and a club that engaged with it’s supporters.

What the fuck are you on about?

Do you read my posts properly?

I was stood on my own next to the North stand expansion main gate to the fan zone, looking through the gate, thinking of taking pictures of the North stand at night, when the Leverkusen Ultras arrived off the tram. They got to the top of the steps, bunched up, waited, and they begn chanting. At that point I decided to film them on my mobile. Whist I was doing that discretely a Police officer waiting to escort the Leverkusen fans around to the away end came over to me and TOLD ME quietly to be careful about filming the Ultras chanting as they don’t like it. After he told me that I took his advice and stopped filming the Ultras as they passed me by singing and being escorted to the away end.

Is that OK with you?

What the fuck has it got to do with you how often I post on BM? I post when and how often I want to post. I don’t tell you how often to post or what to post about. Do I need to ask your permission to post on BM? But thanks for reading my posts. You’re obviously interested in what I post about on BM.

If my posts irk and annoy you so much, put me on ignore.

‘Become proactive not reactive’ Please!

Taking 1000 pictures of all the City redevelopments around the CFA, the Etihad, and the Etihad Campus since 2012, 13 years ago. Being a member of 1894 from the start. Helping with the displays, drop downs, waving the telescopic flags, handing out flags, collecting flags, picking flags up off the terraces after full-time when everyone has gone home, putting out cards for fans to hold up, painting banners, cutting up paper for the confetti displays, putting paper streamers next to the seats, sorting out the flag room, meeting with the club about a megaphone, a drum, and other ideas to try and improve the atmosphere inside the Etihad. It’s not only me that does these things, the other 1894 lads do them as well, and do much more than I do, to give them credit. Only tonight I’ve offered to help out as much as I can for remainder of November and throughout December.

I’m sure Danny Wilson, Operations Director at City, won’t mind me posting this.

Many, many years ago, pre 1894, when I stood in 110, Danny allowed me to take a megaphone into the Etihad. Whilst I used the megaphone I never received any abuse or a backlash from the fans in 110 or in 111. Fans in 110 and 111 accepted it. I didn’t use the megaphone constantly. I used the megaphone sporadically. I let other fans start off chants in 110 and in 111. For me it was never about taking over the chants and leading the chants for 90 minutes, it was about being part of the chants and helping the chanting during quiet periods of the game. I didn’t need to use the megaphone when chants were being started by other City fans or after City had scored goals, the fans took care of the chanting themselves. I did the same in R Block in the North stand on a few occasions prior to the move from MR to the Etihad.
