Arsenal thread | 2025/26

With now we in 3 games a week till march performances can’t be peak it’s how you manage games and team who have had no European football!

Great squad but weak mentally.
Arteta doing windmills on the sidelines.
The crowd going deathly quiet today when spurs scored.
You are the most bipolar set of fans I've ever known and that filters on to the pitch.
Those two seasons you mentioned you had one hand on the trophy but bottled it.
We just kept on winning. We was under huge pressure too but we coped.
If you win it this year then fair fucks to you but I fully expect you to blow a comfortable lead because you haven't got that mental strength to get over the line.

Agree have the squad to win it this year 100% but have they got the mental strength to get it done ?

Look a decent side, pressure not winning anything under Arteta a FA Cup and a charity shield they have a good squad. Be the Arsenal issue.

If MC had Timber other fb position of the excellent NOR I'd say MC would conceded way less this season, Timber is an elite RB.

Arsenal were very good vs Spurs particularly Eze and Saka. In this game, I forgot about the set-pieces because the quality of their game was really good. You can only go off what you see. Spurs were very negative. Spurs players are technically good but Franks tactics gave Spurs very little chance. I think Spurs fans are going to get fed up with Franks if this continues.

If Arsenal beat Bayern and Chelsea, then they are going to be very well placed.

You didn't win the league because of 'mentality' you won by having a much better offensive team in 22/23 and 23/24. We simply couldn't keep up with your pace because of that. In those 2 seasons you had match winners like Halaand, KDB, Mahrez, Gundogan, Foden, Alvarez, Grealisch and the best DM in the world in Rodri. Odegaard, Saka, Jesus, Havertz, Martinelli, Trossard simply isn't quite as good. KDB is arguably the best ever PL CAM

I'd be interested to hear what you guys think of the players who have replaced Mahrez, Gundogan, Alvarez, Grealisch. Do you think the latter comes back next season?

There’s no 'c' in Grealish.

It’s an Irish name, not a German one.

Be surprised if Grealish comes back. He’s a loveable guy again now and is awarded free kicks when fouled plus gets no shit from the media.

Oh wasn't doubting the fact he played, or he's the youngest at that level - I just think it's wrong a 13 year old was even involved.
Let him be a kid ffs
Sure the kid loves playing football every day!

Not sure why Marvin's comment was included.
I don't think it's right for a 13 year old to be playing in that competition.
Am opinion I'm entitled to
Yeah, didn’t mean to add the other comment. Of course you’re entitled to your opinion but i was just saying the kid probably loves playing football. Kids who are brilliant often play up a couple of year groups. As this kid might be so good he’s jumped up more than a couple.

These fuckers are very efficient and everyone else is crap. Including in CL they could actually win the lot with corners and free kicks

I wouldn’t put a CL/PL double past them. They’re shamelessly efficient and build from a solid defence. Don’t concede, can’t lose games. The opposite of don’t score goals, don’t win games but either work.

Hopefully they have a major hiccup at some point. Tricky run of fixtures coming up in the league for starters.
