Hes done nothing since that goal against Newcastle, January 2024. Then he broke his leg, came back, injured again and done nothing again since. He has his head down all the time, seems content with just beating his man then turning back around again.Just find it quite comical writing off what was quite unanimously the next big star from the academy after a couple months post major injury for another academy lad that’s filled the formers mantle.

I was more annoyed with his lack of urgency in getting the ball into the channels. I know Pep will ride you if you lose the ball easily but there were 3-4 easy passes that he didn’t make and cut and went backwards instead.I didn't mind how he played when he got the ball first half. He has the ability to take a player on, but if he tries it every time we'll lose possession a lot. Instead he walks us up the pitch and we keep the ball, then 1 time in 5 (or 10 maybe) he goes for it and does ok.
The bit that annoyed me was his defensive work. It was nonexistent. Half tracking a player back and then leaving them to run free into the box or down the line. He wasn't the only one though, Reijnders and Lewis were the same, it's why they more or less outnumbered us whenever they broke.
He's got the talent and I wouldn't give up on him yet, but he needs to realise he's only going to get so many more chances and it's time to deliver.

The issue is when you have 11 players doing that then we just look boring, predictable, side to side and not incisive. We need players that want to pass through the lines and in behind and through the channels, it’s why Kev, Rodri, Dave were/are so successful. I was a bit lower on him than most but I still think it risks being a "move him on for an academy guy > he'll be amazing > oh no he's bobbins > move him on for an academy guy" cycle.He's bobbins. Keeping him achieves little more than blocking the progress of someone in the academy imo.

Because he's playing shit and showing absolutely nothing worthy to demand a place in the squad. Sav the same although seems Pep prefers him.How can Pep not even include him on the bench? At least he's cool under pressure and doesn't lose the ball for fucking fun like Savio and Doku.
