'They had zero shots on target outside the three we gave them.'A good job a game is made up of two of them.
Even in this supposedly dominant Leeds second half where we were shit, they had zero shots on target outside of the three we gifted them. Seems an odd definition of shit to me when your opponent can't fashion a single shot on goal.
So basically we're half way there. Done the easy bit, now just need to be brilliant for five months.Remember being piss poor till January when won the treble we need that big of a turn around this season to even have a sniff of the league! At moment we look piss poor
Truman’s for Steel.Well he didn’t mention the golden goal comp in the program so I call bullshit
Nunes had an error prone 2nd half and so did Gvardiol and both defenders decision making terrible at times . Teams are definitely exploiting our defensive frailties even teams the calibre of Leeds Utd which is a huge worry .It was quite alarming to see the players running over to Pep to get instructions less than 15 minutes into the second half with Donna pretending to be injured.
whatever he said didn’t seem to make any difference, the ball over the top was leaving us in panic mode time and time again, particularly on the left.
That’s what worrying. We seemed to have abandoned the quick breaking through the lines style that was working pretty well.it appears we have too many sideways, easy option passing type players in the team. Haaland was back to dealing with scraps like last season. We got away with that one.
The second half performance was absolutely dreadful.
Once again our play is slow, walking football, predictable, passing backwards, sideways, etc.
You are correct it happens far too much, when a team has 1 opportunity and takes it and its happening often, you have to question the players or the system.'They had zero shots on target outside the three we gave them.'
So we are fucking shite and concede chances where the opposing team has to do fuck all.
WTF?WTF Nunes?
Nearly threw it away with the usual stupid errors at the back.
Having said that, Calvert Lewin is a great player, and a handful for any defender.
Yeah. Both did and I thought O’Reilly was poor too. It concerns me how a team as bad as Leeds (Awful first half) could get us so panic stricken so easily.Nunes had an error prone 2nd half and so did Gvardiol and both defenders decision making terrible at times . Teams are definitely exploiting our defensive frailties even teams the calibre of Leeds Utd which is a huge worry .
Agree.Remember being piss poor till January when won the treble we need that big of a turn around this season to even have a sniff of the league! At moment we look piss poor
Haha dont... I once had an argument with someone on here who said they would rather have Ollie Watkins over Harry Kane.WTF?
he has scored once all season - he is dogshit
Stop making excuses for substandard players.
To be honest I'm more baffled by someone trying to act as though giving away chances by making mistakes actually means we were not shite. You are correct it happens far too much, when a team has 1 opportunity and takes it and its happening often, you have to question the players or the system.

We need a leader someone who can pul this team together we don’t have one and I’m not sure who’s available to get, we have a weak mentality especially when we concede.
but it wasn’t. They looked woeful and created nothing. There seemed no way they could get back unless we gave it them. Which we did - twice. The game wasn’t realistically ok the balance though - unless you argue every gam is always in the balance. At half time the only thought was why only 2. should be 4 or 5Our best 11 struggling at home to canon fodder. Even at 2-0 the game was in the balance. Shambolic, but the flock wallpaper winner saved the weekend.
3 Points on the board.
Couldn't give a shite how we did it.
Next.
Indeed!
A lot of our fanbase need to get real, get used to this City side not being a very top side anymore and just get behind the players we have.
Plus football is like this anyway. Even very top sides can be utterly shit from time-to-time. We were no worse today than we were at home to Crystal Palace in the Fourmidables season, at home to United and Leeds in 2020-21, or against Brentford and Everton at home in the treble season. Yet we had much better sides in those seasons than we do now.
Having a top side is 90% down to pure chance that a team needs players in positions where top players are available and want to sign for you at that very moment in time. Sometimes teams have long runs of that happening but, it never lasts forever, then it’s someone else’s turn at the top.
That’s English football. Unfortunately, at the moment we’ve just slid in quality somewhat from our very top sides a few recent years ago. Add to that we have a small number of players who are in their prime years in our squad, loads of young lads and loads who’ve not played more than a dozen to two dozen PL games. But that shouldn’t make us carbon copies of slapped-arse Rags and Scousers because these players aren’t performing to levels we’ve seen from much better to players than them.
I hope the early leavers enjoy watching the 349th City goal they’ve missed after the 80minute mark since the takeover, and it was a match winner to boot!, on Match of the Day, experiencing none of it themselves.
