City fan suffers broken leg after being attacked at Leeds game

City could solve this problem now by issuing season tickets to those in the waiting list. Half and half tourists don’t buy season tickets and nor do away fans, we’d have a better atmosphere in the ground and none of the problems the leeds cunts caused yesterday. The los in income would be minuscule compared to tv and commercial income. Do what you said you’d do Khaldoon, recognise the working class Manchester roots of our club
I'm not sure how you stop the ticket touts using bots to buy them all up? In fact i don't what the answer is full stop, and it's not just us struggling with this problem. Liverpool and Newcastle for starters have been cancelling thousands of club accounts at the very least recently.

And for the record I had an empty seat next to me yesterday- my eldest is away at uni and can’t make every game,my 3 family and friends I’m allowed to transfer to - my wife was away for the weekend, my mate already had a ticket and my brother was away - in days gone by I’d have let my other son bring a mate but no longer allowed to go that - apologies Mr Wilson, that explains one of the empty seats yesterday

I’m not talking about board I’m asking that they issues MORE SEASON TICKETS

It's common practice now that sites ask you to solve a puzzle or click a box to prove you're a human, how do these bots circumvent that? and if they can't stop them doing it isn't it time we stop having to jump the hurdle too?

As we all know, but I’ll make an important point of it again.

It’s only going to get worse next season with an extra 8000 seats to fill, and 401 hotel rooms to occupy.

When 1000’s of City fans relocate to NSL2 from around the Etihad that will leave 1000’s of empty seats to fill around the Etihad, and that includes in the current hospitality areas.

Away fans will make use of the hotel, buy match tickets, and sit in the home ends. I’m 100% sure the Medlock hotel and ticket packages are already being worked on by the club, and will be announced in the future, alongside the opening of the Medlock hotel.

We will only sell out 62,000 seats for a handful of big games, United, Liverpool, and Arsenal. There will be 1000’s of seats empty for every other home match, bar the handful of big games I’ve mentioned. The club in their desperation to fill those empty seats will palm more and more tickets on to their official ticket touting partners in the desperate hope their ticket touting partners can shift more tickets and fill the 1000’s of empty seats.

The scene has been set. Soriano, Danny Wilson, and the other directors sat in the directors box, looking a the Etihad with 1000’s of empty seats at almost every home, knowing away fans are all over the ground after buying tickets from the clubs official ticket touting partners, whilst genuine City fans can’t buy tickets, and can’t transfer tickets to other genuine City fans due to the clubs new draconian ticket sale and transfer rules.

One person hasn’t been mentioned yet is the ticket compliance manager. Well done. You’re doing a cracking job.

He’s called Mike Broadbent

I would also add the constant media hostility towards the club and team fuels other fans to do what they want and take liberties as it’s just become quite normal to call us cheats and the inflammatory message has now stuck because the club has sat back and allowed reputational damage to accrue. The almost 3 year enquiry into the 115 charges has normalised a lot of fans towards hatred of our club as cheats,on top of these ticketing double standards it’s heading towards a tragedy happening and the club just stand and watch, while counting the money coming in,well done City, you sold out by not looking after a working class fan base.I had a season ticket in 2015 when the south stand opened and had to give it up for personal reasons, previously worked as a steward for 10 years to help the club, rang the ticket office this week to enquire about season tickets for the new stand and was told the club will make an announcement when it’s ready,no waiting list, buy your membership, once you don’t meet the past buying policy you are forgotten, priced out of the revolution, local fans priced out yet there were loads of empty seats on tv at yesterday’s game and will be on Saturday vs Sunderland, the club is alienating its core fans and these same fans have to listen to crap from other fans on media and in person because the cartel ain’t happy, what an absolute mess, who would think supporting an extremely successful club could be so polarising, want to watch it in person ? Show us your money and follow the prohibitive new rules on ticket exchange, attendance etc, don’t answer back and watch the ground fill up with tourists who are more valuable as they spend more.It feels like it’s not my club anymore.

Agree I have said for ages now that the press/media will have played apart when City fans get hurt.
The scummy press/media have been stirring the shit against us fans and our club for years.
Didn't one even suggest we should stop following City by following City means we agree with what our owners country does.

This is what happens when the club uses 9 ticket touting partners, can't sell out home matches, makes it harder for genuine City fans to buy and transfers tickets, etc.

You end up with the club giving away tickets or selling them at a reduced price to school parties, who then begin waving their mobile phone lights on the 3rd tiers of the Colin Bell stand and the East stand.

To angry chants of.... You can stick your fucking torches up your arse from SSL1.

My little one asked if we could put our torch on - a firm no came in response!

Hopefully the Neanderthal’s responsible for the attack can be identified banned from football for life, shamed on tv and slapped with a significant jail sentence.

Until you have to upload a photo id - passport, driving licence - that also matches a Live phone Photo of you, then there are so many ways around the buying of tickets
Location IP - use a VPN
Address - use a relative/friend in UK
Credit card - as above

And I think there’s a large enough Turkish diaspora in the UK that’ll mean the number of potential Galatasaray fans, that would meet any simple uk fan criteria is vast - and of course they can buy tickets for anybody else as well.

The overwhelming use of bots, also blasts through any defensive ticket buying issues.
I agree with the sentiment, but isn't this going to play into the clubs hands - activating the facial recognition readers that have already been installed. Gives the club the excuse it is for fan safety (even though they've created the problem) whilst making it harder for genuine fans to pass on a ticket to friends and family.

Whichever way they bring a monitoring system in unless they get rid of their official ticket touts nothing would ever change because they are only ever going to check the rank and file.

Deluded sycophant. You're exactly the sort of mug that Khaldoon and Co want around... gullible glory loving arse lickers. You've become as pathetic as the thousands of football tourists sitting around you every week.

The hierarchy at City have been disrespecting longstanding supporters for years. They're only interested in profit, regardless of the impact on traditional fans.

They've never been 'in touch' with local fans, because they don't give a shit about the local fans. They're living on a different planet to traditional supporters.

They're modern day snake oil salesmen. The sooner you wake up and realise that, the better.
Do you go to games ? If you do why bother ?

I’ve gone in with the home fans at old trafford and anfield in the past. And I kept my trap shut mostly, and didn’t react when we scored. If you can’t do that, fair enough, but don’t sit there and if you get the chance of a ticket there, don’t take it. Personally, I hated it on both occasions and said I would never do it again (which I haven’t).

It’s pretty clear to me, that’s where most issues lie. Just saying it’s enough not to wear colours, is not enough.

I’d be on edge all game. And having to falsely cheer/applaud when they score!

Soriano, Wilson etc you have wrecked the fanbase fabric of the club at our most successful time. You have sacrificed proper loyal fans and new younger fans and brought in the half and half tourists instead, and now the away fans are following in more and more numbers. The club will now never be what it was because of you, you shameless profit seeking fuckers, and next time Pep puts his hand to his ears requesting more vocal support perhaps you can tell him why, you shameful cunts
Tut tut

The scouse pot thrower says hello...

There's little or no chance of anything being done other than City fans being banned for trying to help.

In 2017 Khaldoon made a point at a board meeting that he felt ordinary fans had suffered enough price rises. Soriano has been raising prices since.

Surely Soriano can’t go over Khaldoon’s head? If he has been, Khaldoon has the power to sort it. Surely.

Though my biased ignorance could be blinding reality.

Galatasaray will be the defining moment. The club will bluster their way out of it but it’s going to be the final straw for a lot of fans.

Madrid finished me off last year. Haven’t missed CL games at all.

Couldn’t believe that Madrid game. When they scored there were pockets of hundreds of fans across the ground cheering. Unbelievable.
