Antoine Semenyo | Considering triggering the £65m release (p13)

It could be a reaction to the failure of our wingers to perform, rather than a plan. I think club thought savinho and Bobb would kick on this season and they havent, which is hurting us.
 
Makes absolutely no sense to me. We need a genuine right winger, if they can operate elsewhere, great but that has to be their primary position. Semenyo operates off the left, where we have doku, marmoush and savinho who all consider that position their best. Makes as much sense as signing a 5th goalkeeper.
 
What does ‘considering’ actually mean? Of course they are ‘considering’ it - I’m nervous about this. A Bournemouth player is doing well on the left so we buy him and put him on the right?

Not sure about that

Clearly interested now everyone jumping on the bandwagon trying to spin it another way.

He is two footed the stars prove he is two footed so he can play any side with ease

Doesn't matter. He plays off the left for a reason, that's his preferred position. He doesnt play from the right so I dont want us signing players for positions they dont play.

Go out and find the player who slots in on the right wing as their primary position. Semenyo isnt so good that you just sign him and fit him in anywhere. There has to be players out there who properly fit what we need.

Look at the stats before posting shite
 
I don't mind the gamble on the release clause but I'm not sure he's actually better than Doku in his main preferred position and it'll be interesting to see how a player with these weaknesses fits into a Pep system.

If he's a Bobb replacement it'll be interesting to see what we do for club trained players.
