Will we win the league this season?

Arsenal play Villa away next weekend...

I dare say we have the better run of fixtures up to the end of the calendar year. Every chance for us to make up ground between now and then. Palace away is arguably our toughest fixture (and that will be tough).
More dropped points coming. We just have to do our business

Just to be clear I never said Arsenal will definitely win the game. I just said it’s likely given their forms. But I am happy with the result. Beat Fulham on Tuesday and let’s see how Arsenal perform against Brentford.
Forget brentford. It’s Villa where they will slip up. So let’s not get all dramatic when they become the best team ever to have existed again when they defeat brentford.

Arsenal are champions elect and I can’t see them dropping any more points

They are primed to dominate domestically and in Europe for years to come
That has been said about so many clubs over the years. At the start of this season, Liverpool were the ones to win it all for the next few years, turns out they aren’t that good. Things can change in football so quickly.

Pep winning four titles in a row was such an insane record to break and it should be talked about as the greatest achievement in prem history.

For me, Arsenal are a very good side. Perfectly balanced throughout, rock solid defence which is something what we used to be. Despite that, I don’t see them dominating. They haven’t proved to win a title yet.

Gap closed

As I’ve been saying all along this Arsenal team don’t have what it takes to handle the pressure.

Champions go and win that game.
I hope you are right but they may be happy with coming back from one nil down to share the points with the teams currently in 2nd and 3rd.
The chasing teams really need to put in a good run to pull them back.

Not when you are playing against 10 men for over an hour.

There is the possibility they could only be 2 points ahead of City before they face brentford when a week ago they were out of sight.

Pressure can do strange things and I don’t think arsenal can handle it

The only thing giving me hope is that Arsenal still don't appear to have given themselves a killer instinct. Five points given how poor we have been for pockets of this season keeps us alive. I think we have been well off it, but if we get 20% better or they get 20% worse and it's back on.

Quick tip (and this is for free, because I'm such a bloody nice chap); you need to add a ;-) at the end of your posts, otherwise people will actually take it at face value. And will respond. Strongly.

Could be down to 2 before they face brentford

We're actually 2 points worse off than last season which feels a bit strange

Arsenal had a difficult away fixture today and they've already played at our traditional graveyard (Anfield) and won at Newcastle

Yes, they could easily suffer a wobble and drop a few points, but I'm more concerned with our fragility, which not for the first time, was exposed yesterday

Blind faith suggests that Rodri could make a huge difference, but realistically he's already been out for longer than the "2-3 weeks" post match assessment following his early withdrawal at Brentford.
