Tony’s Chippy Ancoats is always open for Saturday afternoon games. Never Sunday games though.

According to its website it doesn't open on weekends at all anymore, only Mon-Fri.Tony’s Chippy Ancoats is always open for Saturday afternoon games. Never Sunday games though.

Yes I saw that but it’s definitely open for saturday games as I go before every game. Although yesterday they’d run out of gravy and curry!

Okay, thanks for the heads up ..... its a quality chippy as you know, well used, and I was finding it hard to believe that they were closing doors on a Saturday, it's a busy day.

For tomorrow. A bit fed up with the Levenshulme Bakery, so can anyone recommend a good chippy, please? Driving up from the Midlands, so in via South Manchester, Kingsway route. Anything good nearby?
Anchors Fish and Chips in Didsbury Village is supposed to be pretty good .... might be a bit dearer than other chippies though.

Haven't been in there for over 20 years, but that's a good shout, they used to do fantastic fish ......
