City fan suffers broken leg after being attacked at Leeds game

I wouldn't put any money on that. See my earlier post. Not one person from the club ever asked how i was or apologised for their inefficiency in signing off an unsafe new flooring that resulted in me suffering a bleed on the brain and having to take taking early retirement as a result.
Were was the duty of care,I’d have took legal action absolute disgrace what has happened to you then mate, the disconnect between the club and fans is at an all time low, they seem more interested in looking after the away fans ..

The fact people just looked on is fucking laughable. State of that. Seeing some poor fucker getting his head caved in and just stand there and watch. Fuck me.

It sounds like City fans DID get involved , that's why the cops went around dragging them out of their seats in the 2nd half !

There was said to be around ten people involved in this incident, and it looks like only three of them were Leeds fans, and one of them was apparently spotted afterwards covered in blood.

Only a matter of time before this goes nuclear and fans take this out of the likes of Wilson and Soriano’s hands and take it up with the big man!
It's all over social media and in the news.

Once again City come out of it very badly.

City are circling the wagons again trying to minimize the damage to the clubs reputation.

WTF mate, are you doing OK now because that sounds fucking horrendous?

It was a while ago now 2015 the night we played Seville in the champions league when De Bruyne scored that late winner. I get headaches from time to time now when I never really suffered from them before. I also have a tendency to lose my temper very quickly without warning, sometimes over things others might deem trivial. I have learnt to control that most of the time but occasionally i just blow and cant control it. All due to my brain injury being in the reasoning and feelings part of the brain. I was off work for three months and the doctor was reluctant to sign me off but i had to see if it affected my work. It did. I worked twelve hour shifts on the ship and after a maximum of six hours work i felt shattered and sleepy. Another side effects of a head injury i believe. It led to me deciding to take early retirement, thankfully i could afford to.

Yeah, they did get in touch but didn’t demand we move the thread or anything. They just repeated what was said in that statement they put out on socials yesterday (I.e. that it was an ongoing police investigation, they didn’t think it was Leeds fans responsible, injuries weren’t as serious as reported) so I erred on the side of caution. With hindsight, it was probably the wrong call tbh.
The club output says it wasn't Leeds fans involved, not "they didn't think". Not your issue (or fault!), but just pointing out the difference. As I said in an earlier post, I hope they've bothered to check this basic info before putting it out publicly

Oh i did. They settled out of court after putting me through four more years of stress and their solicitors calling me a liar and trying to imply i was pissed when i wasn't.

Sunderland have a huge and enthusiastic away fan base, there’ll be loads of them in the home sections of the ground next week, thankfully they are a decent set of fans unlike dirty fucking leeds but it’s going to be happening every time we play a team who need more than 3k tickets. The way the clubs ticketing policy is going we might as well give the north stand to fucking away fans

i actually think giving away teams another 1000/1500 is not the worst idea, better atmosphere, 75% of away clubs could easily sell 4000/4500 tickets, i don't see the problem

That's terrible pal, we live with some shit that could have easily been avoided in life that's for sure.

Life sure is random, live every moment. I'd just worked seven consecutive twelve hour shifts, living on the ship for a week and travelled 300 miles home then went straight to the game. Last thing i expected was a trip to MRI and then Salford royal instead of going home. Fastest I've ever got away from the ground though with flashing blue lights and sirens, the full works lol.

Whatever the truth about this incident it is clear away fans should be banned from all home sections including corporate and immediately removed if found to be so with a paid consultancy arrangement with the police rather than stewards. There should be signs everywhere saying home only.

Why does our own club hate us? They have never backed the fans on anything. As soon as we raise concerns about being treated like shit, like the champions league final they just brush it under the carpet. Genuine safety concerns are never acted on. When our fans witness shocking violence that has apparently resulted in one of our own receiving a broken leg we get this.

"The injuries were nowhere near as serious as the inaccurate rumours which have circulated online."

Oh that's alright then. Everybody is a lying **** are they? What injuries do they consider serious? A coma, death? I do wonder because when I received a bleed on the brain, due to some clown signing off an obviously unfit for purpose new flooring in the south stand, nobody gave a fuck. When i tried to meet officials to.point out how dangerous it was and prevent it happening to others they were all too busy, they would get back to me. Only they didn't. So i got mad and it cost them. Has anybody asked the victim if he considers his injuries as not serious? Im beginning to despair of our club.
Hope your condition is improving mate.
That is truly shameful.

*edited as I saw a later post.

I hope you can make a full recovery

That truly is a shocking response from the club and I had to check if legit. WTF are they playing at.
Wouldn't suprise me if a follow up post was made stating "We're sorry if any Leeds fans scattered all around the ground were abused when you scored and celebrated"

If it was a Leeds fan that did it the City supporter should sue City for not taking enough precautions to prevent this, let’s see the shit storm that would create for ticket selling. Imagine a judge looking at how City treat its own fans in relation to selling or passing on tickets and then the club openly sell to anyone, double standards and duty of care woukd be high on the judges mind.
City, because they’re cunts, would argue under the reasonable man test that fans who support different teams are in the vast majority of cases not likely to instigate violence against opposing fans thus the club aren’t liable.
