City fan suffers broken leg after being attacked at Leeds game

The idiots shouldn't have arrested us. I think one lad got a fine and maybe a bit of community service, well worth the time and effort for arresting 50 and locking us all up for 9 or 10 hours. I think those 2 girls were minors as well, so will have needed treating differently than the rest of us.
Yes I was sat directly parallel to them on bus with my mate. Bit of a shock you could say. I was still 15 and my mate just turned 16 so he had to spend most of night with you lot. I got moved to another cell with some other lads after couple of hours. Bastards didnt even let us have water.

Anyway bloody depressing thread this innit. Sort it out City you fukers

This is exactly what happens when football clubs are owned by (and have Boards made up of) people who haven't got a fucking clue about football or football fans, and live in a bubble, light years away from the real world.

Sheikh Mansour doesn’t give a shit about City, we're just a little cog in the ADUG business empire. Khaldoon is the local mouthpiece - a puppet. None of them are, or will ever be, football people. They're no much more than land grabbing profiteers.

Their attitude of ADUG / the City Group towards genuine  club supporters over recent years has been dreadful, and likely to get worse.
Well said mate.

The club are lying underhand cnunts in here but angels sent from heaven in the financial charges thread, not sure both those things can be true at the same time.

Two totally different set of circumstances. Anybody from outside attacking our club we will defend it to the hilt. We've all seen over the years how they've tried to stitch us up, besmirch our name and stall our progress. These are legal and financial matters over our heads and we have to trust the people empowered to make them to have acted correctly.

Fans being treated badly and let down is on a more personal level and many of us have first hand experience of seeing or being on the end of such treatment.

Where is the clubs response ?

The ticket support account on Twitter stated that ‘the incident was not as serious at looked’

It’s been posted on here.

I am Sat in south stand level 2. There was a couple of Leeds fans sat in the 9320 hospitality seats and they celebrated when they scored the second.

In all seriousness what is the answer here?

For those older than me, did away fans in home seats happen before we started selling tickets on third party websites?

Something has to change -fans are sick of being marginalised at any opportunity by the club, implicitly asking how deep is your wallet when it comes to going to games,it feels rotten that older blues are sacking it off,but understandable too,it’s a real faff to watch OUR team in a sanitised environment, rules piling up around everything apart from what the club do to monetise every game to the hilt then the ground has empty seats, away fans take the piss and laugh at our expense calling us cheats, sort it out City it’s embarrassing.

As if the poor little girl being scarred for life by a Liverpool fan sat above our fans wasn't enough of a warning, the club are now letting opposition fans sit in with us. Really does boggle the mind
I sat in my seat against the dippers two or three years ago .
Southern dippers fan next to me.
He called Van Duke.
Virgil virgil like he knew him

I went a bit 10 nil.
Next thing two stewards.
And then two coppers saying I was getting kicked out and banned.
I didn't as fans round me stuck up for me.
Another time going in against the rags.
A lad and his girlfriend in the que next to me.
You could see her rag shirt below sticking out under her coat.
I told the steward.
He said leave it it's fine.
This has been coming.
Shame on you city.

I would still encourage as many Blues as possible to attend the Galatassary game as we contribute to the safety of each other.

No issue with away corporates who are respectful. It’s Just we haven’t got the demand to keep expanding corporate and hospitality seats, without getting a disproportionate number of away fans in those seats.

We have done quite well expanding our fanbase over the last 15 years but this needs fresh impetus and ideas now. Obviously, affordability is a key issue for many fans / as is the expansion of season cards so fans can plan for games in good time.

Leeds fans have and always will be proper scumbags. Got banned from Elland Rd 40 years ago. Coming back from game top deck just back to station when one of those pricks threw a brick through window where 2 city girls were and some of us retaliated by throwing seats down on top of the rats. Not me just all of us on top deck got arrested until those who owned up. Didn't get out til 3am! Not been back since funnily enough
I was on that bus with a mate and a female friend of ours, we were about 18.

We were downstairs fortunately but remember you all being taken downstairs with cable ties round your wrists.

Problem is.
Once you jack it in.
Your done.
I know from experience.
I'm at the point now I didn't even realise we were playing on Saturday till half 3.
The club made me feel that un welcome I've better things to do now.

As a supporter who hasn't been able to attend our home games for a few years now, the many accounts from loyal fans regarding the disengage which clearly exists between the club and supporters is distressing and heartbreaking.

Whist one-off circumstances of poor customer service is perhaps understandable if not acceptable, the reports suggest a trait over many instances, where our supporters are getting poor treatment or consideration.

We have clearly enjoyed the most successful period of football in recent years thanks to the investment from Mansoor, but loyal fans are now reportedly being let down, ignored and /or abused, with the safety of our supporters put at serious risk, all in the name of greed.

All of the above from the club I truly love, but struggle to understand why they value the loyalty and history of our supporters so little, and seemingly ignore their loyalty and treat them with disregard and contempt.

Shame on those responsible who are overseeing this horror show !

As we all know, but I’ll make an important point of it again.

It’s only going to get worse next season with an extra 8000 seats to fill, and 401 hotel rooms to occupy.

When 1000’s of City fans relocate to NSL2 from around the Etihad that will leave 1000’s of empty seats to fill around the Etihad, and that includes in the current hospitality areas.

Away fans will make use of the hotel, buy match tickets, and sit in the home ends. I’m 100% sure the Medlock hotel and ticket packages are already being worked on by the club, and will be announced in the future, alongside the opening of the Medlock hotel.

We will only sell out 62,000 seats for a handful of big games, United, Liverpool, and Arsenal. There will be 1000’s of seats empty for every other home match, bar the handful of big games I’ve mentioned. The club in their desperation to fill those empty seats will palm more and more tickets on to their official ticket touting partners in the desperate hope their ticket touting partners can shift more tickets and fill the 1000’s of empty seats.

The scene has been set. Soriano, Danny Wilson, and the other directors sat in the directors box, looking a the Etihad with 1000’s of empty seats at almost every home, knowing away fans are all over the ground after buying tickets from the clubs official ticket touting partners, whilst genuine City fans can’t buy tickets, and can’t transfer tickets to other genuine City fans due to the clubs new draconian ticket sale and transfer rules.

One person hasn’t been mentioned yet is the ticket compliance manager. Well done. You’re doing a cracking job.
Every word true

All current fan initiatives towards this end should be paused and all groups should come together and devote their energies and finances to the most important issue .... SORIANO OUT

The dippers, had they suffered under a CEO with a similar disregard for fans, would already have published his home address and be setting fire to his wheelie bins at a bare minimum. We obviously don't go down that road but we need to let this fucking guy know that he's not wanted and nor are any of the yes men under him who carry out his plans that are marginalising and alienating proper blues
