Match Thread | Fulham vs. Manchester City (02/12/25)

Great scoreline, played some good stuff at times but played a lot of sloppy stuff too and seem very open at the back. Fulham helped us a lot in being equally as sloppy themselves. Doubt they'll repeat that performance second half so we need to tighten up and put this to bed with another goal or two to avoid having another wobble. Just need a decent 90 minutes.

Foden has been bang on it even without the goal, Nunes has been great, gvardiol is coaching O'reilly through the game well. Doku's had a fairly poor game despite the assist, i'd be tempted to introduce marmoush for him as first sub but also feel like second half, as they push to get back into it, it could be his time to make a big impact.

Stop chasing the ball forward constantly, be aware of runners off the back, nothing silly and we should have this sewn up as they'll be chances to break on them and kill it but I'd love a boring, no action 0-0 second half.

We were excellent there, lots of intensity in the press and sharp passing, along with 3 wonderful goals.

I’m hoping the slack goal for them will see us keep the intensity up second half.

Saturday’s game will be fresh in their mind - bang in another couple lads, my ticker can’t take a replay of Saturday.

All moans about Sky aside… I enjoyed that half time coverage far more than the usual. Just the commentators reviewing the goals. No having to listen to a half time of Micah / Redknapp / Spitty talking shite in an expensive studio. More games like this please.

Not for me. Three great goals, and some really nice attacking play, but we've been too open and are still way too soft as a team. The amount of 50-50s we lose is unacceptable.

I don't see Gvardiol giving up a corner or Nunes miscontrolling a high ball as mistakes. These are normal occurrences; Fulham just made a great play off their effort.

Hopefully, it doesn't spark a comeback

They’ll absolutely make changes at HT bring on a couple of pacy forwards,just keep playing and don’t sit back thinking it’s job done,next goal in this game is huge now if there is one ..

They havent got any, they've got a few wingers on the bench and that young lad king who is a smith-rowe type but no recognised forward.
