To be fair I have really been enjoying the MSM's attempts to paper over the cracks at Anfield and for the past decade or so at OT. I also get enjoyment out of their clear dislike for us, mainly because I have little to no respect for the MSM anyway.
I think it’s a great thing as I’m convinced it does neither of them any favours, whatsoever. There is no rational critique of those two clubs and they’re both always 2 wins away from ‘turning the corner’. Slot wins a title, they sign a load of players and they’re not only the greatest team ever, with one of the most extraordinary managers ever, but they’re going to dominate the PL for years! I actually read, in the summer, that they would break City’s 4 in a row record, ffs.
It’s the same with any young players they have, some of whom I actually feel a bit sorry for. They come off the bench, or start a league cup game, score a late winner and, all of a sudden, they’re a cross between Messi and KDB. They keep a clean sheet and the debutant defender is a prime Maldini/Kompany cross. It really can’t help them so long may it continue…

bbc (small writing) sport this morning, dippers deflected goal against Sunderland last night was to earn them a well earned point!! last saturday we scored a brilliant Phil Foden late winner, which papered over the cracks, no difference in reporting there then eh!.
Yeah, according to the media, we were lucky on Saturday and to a lesser extent on Tuesday.

It's not called luck when you score more goal than the opposition it's called winning.

I go back to when we played Burnley and Liverpool played Palace, in September. I was working and watching the updates on Sky Sports from my bosses car. The studio team were salivating every time Liverpool attacked. Literally purring. Every touch was world class and a joy to watch. Every time City scored they couldn't get away from talking about it fast enough. With each goal we scored you could feel the life being sucked out of the studio. It was so obvious I was laughing. Even my boss, who is a red, noticed it. Liverpool lost 2-1 and we won 5-1.

There is a fairly positive article in The Guardian Sport online about Erling's goal scoring record, written by Jonathon Liew, which is a surprise because he's usually a despicable City hater.

they can have a good season I’ll be generous they somehow get 5th and that now is champions league football well next season they’ll have 50% more games where there squad can’t cope
Im still waiting for them to be on the receiving end of a close subjective decision, even PGMOL s buddies, the Dippers have had one.
It would be unreasonable to think any team could lose all 3 in one game would it ?

Look, I'm sorry if I'm jumping to conclusions, but you know you can report him to HR, these days. Even as a man.

The ex-pro's that get these kind of gigs are washed up financially and tow the line to get more work. They're not on the Sky payroll and charge for each appearance.

I split up from my ex-wife 11 years ago and she soon started seeing Matt Elliott, the Leicester "legend". A neighbour gave me the heads up that the plastic cockney Jock tosser had moved into my house, the cheeky ****. He went and did some work in Thailand for LCFC and took my ex and daughter with him so I took the opportunity to visit the (my) house to check if his move in was permanent. I found a file of invoices he'd raised to the likes of Sky, BBC and LCFC. A few of them fell out, so I couldnt help but see the details (arrff). It's surprising how little these ex-pro's get paid.

Your talking maybe £250 for the Sky Soccer Sarurday show, plus expenses. About £75 to co-commentate on BBC Radio Leicester. For an LCFC "Legend" meet and greet for match day hospitality about £250 (7-8 hours weekend work).

Maybe that's why we have to suffer fucking idiots who'll take bottom dollar to pay their bills/debts, and work for peanuts in an attempt to keep themselves relevant.

The snide **** commandeered my jukebox for his shitty man-cave as well. Thieving freeloader that he is.

Bitter? Me? Fucking right I am. Cockney twat.
A fantastic post. The sort which makes this forum so enjoyable. Made me think of Danny Mills for some reason.

This is exactly the quality of post I endlessly trawl through all the other rubbish for.
Thank you for keeping me going, Dodge :)

There's a decent article in the Guardian Sport online about Erling's goal scoring record, written by Jonathon Liew who's normally an absolute **** when writing about City.

Is Erling so good Liew wrote it twice?

Isn't the Premier League supposed to be all about entertainment these days?
We've scored the most goals this season and they can't say that our games aren't entertaining (just recently a 3-2 and a 4-5) but no any excuse to bash Citeh.
If we smash teams like we did against the rags and dippers this season we get called boring.
The media's organised agenda against us is getting really really boring these days.

It’s a great piece which captures the appeal of Haaland and why he is now a huge global icon. The biggest star to ever play for our club and already a legend. But Liew has very selective memory. He mentions that he got it wrong over Haaland. He is one of so many media pundits who were mocking him three years ago. But it was bloody obvious to anyone who knows football that Haaland was always special….even at Dortmund.
