PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Maybe there will never be a decision?
Perhaps we are all only characters in a lost novel, written and discarded by Kafka or Flann O'Brien?
Technically it's possible that if we're fully exonerated, or maybe have an immaterial financial penalty imposed for non-cooperation, that the outcome will never be publicly known.

If part of the outcome involves the PL being severely embarrassed, there's no way they'd want that to be known publicly. Potentially there could be a watertight NDA or gagging order.

Given the public interest in this I'd say that scenario is unlikely, but if we're still no wiser in 6 or even 12 months then that could be interesting.

An NDA has to be signed by all parties and I can't see City doing that, the PL or the panel can't issue gagging orders and there's no reason for the courts to be involved.

And everybody will say we were guilty and paid off the PL to make it go away for ever more and the club won't ever be able to answer back

I agree about the courts but maybe the quid pro quo for us keeping quiet was the waving through of the sponsorship deals?

That wouldn't play out well in the public court, I'd have thought the club would be looking for something more positive myself. Hell, the other clubs wouldn't accept that.
Who knows what deals get done behind closed doors. If the outcome was potentially catastrophic for the PL then it would be in the other clubs' interest to keep it under wraps. But I agree while that's theoretically possible, it does beggars belief somewhat.

Not sure they can do that but, even if they could, it would be unbelievably weird if it happened. Mind you, this is the PL we are talking about.

On a separate but not unrelated note, I wonder what that busybody judge is thinking having decided the process was in the public interest and should be disclosed against the wishes of the parties, only for the public to have no information for three years...... Just what was the point?
