Why is there not a statue of Yaya?

Mind has gone blank, where did he go after leaving us?
It was weird actually barely kicked a ball after leaving us. Olympiacos after City and think he may have gone on holiday to China for a few months.

He has done a bit of coaching since was with Spurs for a short period. Does not seem to last anywhere.

Great player for us but IMO not season after season for 19 years like Kun, Kev, Dave and Vinny. I also think it is about what you do off the field as well as on it. But no mistake YAYA will always be welcomed by us fans we love him - wish he would come back more so we can keep thanking him for what he did for us.

Peak David was better. Period
i’m going to disagree with that tbh. there are lots and lots of players in football history like silva and most would say xavi/iniesta/fabregas of his own contemporaries are just as good.

But Yaya - there is no other player imo in world history where you have a man his size with that level of skill and vision. He has every physical attribute except stamina perhaps and has the skill of a small man. His passing was also brilliant along with outrageous power and shot making genius.

If we’re picking a midfield 3 all time premier league i’m having Yaya in the middle with De Bruyne and Silva either side and honestly blue glasses aside i don't put anyone else in there ahead of any of them.

People go on about Keane and Vieira but Yaya would physically boss both easily and he has miles more skill and goal threat. Gerrard and Kante are perhaps the only other players you could make the argument but like for like Gerrard is closest to De bruyne and he just doesnt have the football IQ Kev does. Kante possibly instead of Silva if you want more defenders in there. But Yaya stays. he just everything. D

Didnt he play up front a few games with Balotelli one winter when Aguero was quell surprise injured

Fantastic player with an unfit shitty dressing pimp of an agent . He burnt his bridge , road , footpath sideways etc

Our 2 league wins,Fa Cup win and League cup win was peak YaYa.Beter than David,
Our big time player at Wembley in those early years.
Vinnie and Sergio at that time as well..

Brilliant player

Fundamental to our early sucesss

Was very easy on the eye due to his languid style and probably my favourite player for a number of years

However , him and his agents comment leave him off the pantheon of City all time greats

Salah seems to be also going down the same path with the scousers.

Have a look at the great man's career.
He's " lasted " in football a very very long time ,playing the game on 4 Continents,at least 7 countries, speaks at least 5 languages.
I'd say he's lasted pretty well.
How does that compare with your ....career?

Agree with most of your post, but I'd take a look at Vierra again. For me he has to be in any top premier League team.

Also u mentioned Yaya playing up front ....well he definitely played centre back for us( got sent off iirc ) and for Barcelona ,in a champions league final v utd marking wayne Rooney out the game.

Not something David Silva could ever do...

Yayas career dwarfs many players,in so many ways, Silva was utterly brilliant at his game,no doubt about it,but Yaya was a all round player, could put his foot thru the ball when shooting either foot,or could just delicately place a 25 yard shot in the top corner of the net in a blink of an eye.play a 70 yard pass to a team mates feet, could run at speed down the left wing (westham away ) through the middle of the park ( villa at home ) or down the right wing ..( Sunderland away )
Nobody could stop him......
People forget, just how great Yaya Toure was....in tandem with Silva, they broke so many opposing centre midfields to bits. Privileged to have watched that tbh.

Agree but I would put Gareth Barry in random with both as well.
Perfect foil for David and YaYa.

Love Gaz Baz, was excellent for us, feels like he's a little forgotten by fans, both City and neutrals. Had a check and the man is still actively playing at 44!

Oh dear mate. He isn’t fit to clean David’s boots.
