James McAtee joins Forest for an overall fee of £30m

Did the same for our youth teams, especially against his former club Derby. It always seemed either personal or they just knew which buttons to press. He's still doing the stupid stuff now and I can't see him stopping, much as I like the rest of his game.
Didn't realize he s always had this problem.
A bit worrying tbh.

Delap needs to control his aggression.
Ridiculous in yesterday's match, spent the most of it it fighting with his marker and then gets injured in the process and has to go off
He seems to have a hair trigger temperament. Which opposing CBs will definitely target. He'll complain that he's being singled out by referees, of course. But he needs to ask himself why that's the case.

Good post. Although I think Foden was nurtured quite a lot by Guardiola whereas O'Reilly is playing game after game and is proving his worth. Although some may scoff at this, being picked to play for his country is a huge step in his first proper full season. I agree with you about Palmer and I think that's a shame if it's because he didn't want to wait around because his time would have come.
I think with our younger players their temperament off the field as well as their attributes on the field are taken into account when we're making decisions who to keep and who to sell. Foden had his issues off the field, but because of his talents on the pitch and his potential to become a generational talent, the club did everything they could to make it work and it payed off. I hope it's going to be the same with O'Riley

I think with Delap, McAtee and Palmer, as the whole package I just don't think they've got it.

He'd have been much better going to a Bundesliga team
I just think he'll end up a championship level journey man footballer which will be a shame as there was some real talent there
Think he'll be a Will Hughes type career path, coming good in his mid to late twenties, lots of talent, lots of bad luck and some poor advice

The problem with those saying James is a Championship Player is that his skills are Premier League, but he’s lightweight, neither this nor that, and, imho, merely a very talented young kid who never matured into the adult, top level game…and will struggle for impact in the cut and thrust of the Championship.

He’s not fast, he’s not strong, he’s not got a great shot, he can’t head the ball, he has no physicality, he is a kid who was a great talent, but both he and his talent have not matured into the man’s game.

He should seriously think about moving to the States, where he will have more time, space and opportunity to showcase his abilities. I think a club like Inter Miami would be great for him. Great location, new stadium, play on a lush grass surface, surrounded by talent…THAT is where a player like him, who is a bit of a talent but not a workdie, might prosper and flourish.

Him and Palmer always stood out by a mile in the academy side. Never thought there was that much between them in terms of ability, but the difference in their career trajectories since leaving the club has been mad.
