Yeah but he brought peace to the region so it's job done. Isn't it?It’s inevitable he’s going to walk away from Ukraine, so just fucking do it and be done.
I actually thought even Trump thought this was “stoopid”. It felt odd thinking he had at least a tiny bit of self-awareness.

The same reasons as everything else he does:I wonder why President Shitgibbon sex pest is trying to block Netflix takeover of Warner Brothers?
Nothing happens until he gets his pound of flesh. By pound of flesh I mean payoff.I wonder why President Shitgibbon sex pest is trying to block Netflix takeover of Warner Brothers?
Nothing to do with Paramount coming back in for a deal.
A reporter might only get one chance at this but does no-one have the bottle to ask him (a) do you approve of acquiring territory by invasion and/or (b) do you relish going down in history as the biggest appeaser since Chamberlain appeased Hitler?I wonder if Trump has actually read it, or just half-listened to the bullet points (which may not be accurate/written by Russian agents).
I wonder who was the last person in the room to talk to Trump about it.
I wonder if it's his typical blunt instrument posturing to extort concessions.
I'm certain that he's been told repeatedly how Europe should look after Europe, and how if Ukraine won't kowtow to Trump then all of Europe should be set loose. Wouldn't surprise me if China dropped a couple of passing comments, but mostly it'll be from Russia.
It's the return of the Monroe/Donroe Doctrine - Europe is Russia's, North and South America are the USA's.

There is a film, "Munich - The Edge of War" which portrays the Chamberlain piece of paper in a different light. It argues a scenario supported by some historians that Chamberlains agreement with Hitler was made on a two-fold basis, ideally meaning there would be no war, and should that fail, as it did, that the start of the war would be delayed, allowing Britain the time it needed to re-arm the military, establish alliances and in a best case scenario, procure the support of America. As wrong as he was, at least Chamberlain thought he was doing the right thing, Trump wouldn't recognise the concept of acting in good faith if it hit him over the head with a mallet.
I didn't mean to start a debate about whether Chamberlain was doing the right thing. Does anyone think Trump could provide any answer that made him sound like anything other than either a Russian mouthpiece or the Great American Wimp?As wrong as he was, at least Chamberlain thought he was doing the right thing, Trump wouldn't recognise the concept of acting in good faith if it hit him over the head with a mallet.
