Real Madrid (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

It’s starting to do my head in. Should have got Rudiger sent off and perhaps should have had an assist. Got another player a yellow card and was a genuine threat when he came on. We should be looking at that cameo and think there’s a player in there.
Savinho was ok.

This season he's been mostly shit.

If he continues to do ok then the fans will support him.

Great, gutsy and clever performance to get the win at one of the hardest places to do so.

However TNT can fook right off. Apart from that twat Darren Fletcher saying 'Bernabayoo' every 30 seconds, the other pundits could not wait to diminish the result. Real Madrid apparently down to the bare-bones etc etc.

If that was the Dippers winning 2-1 it would have been held up as a memorable European night and the top result of the decade. Fuck off TNT.
Yep, English media willing 'Benefits Street' Madrid to win - and sympathising with a few Madrid injuries - Madrid the club that has been able to field at least two megazillion pound sides for decades. No TNT enthusiasm for our goals and win. TNT - pathetic.

A great result

Wish we didn't make all thoses changes at the Leverkusen game which ended up resulting in that result and performance we witnessed

We would of been in an amazing spot but what can you do

But again a fantastic result

We are in an amazing spot now. Gala at home is a win and Bodo away to finish is fine

One game had to go. I thought it would be RM away but Pep chose Leverkusen. We’ve not looked back since….

Although the ref (Trossard ) did get several things wrong, I thought that overall he wasn't intimidated by the crowd and player (no ref should be). When he made his mistakes, and like I say he made a few, I think it was his judgement that was at fault - I don't think he was biased.

Huge result for us that and especially pleasing as we weren't near our best. O'Reilly and Gonzalez really shone, whilst Ruben and Josko were good too. Cherki added some magic dust and Doku ran willingly all night giving us an out ball and an outlet.

Thought our full backs - especially Nunes - were a bit too narrow but you can't argue with what is a top result. Tears in the TNT Sports crew who basically cheerled Real on all night so it was pleasing to pee on their chips. Quite how Rudiger stayed on the pitch is a mystery but generally the ref didn't buy too much of their shithousery - Asencio the no17 is a particularly odious **** on that front.

On to Sunday and another big game - great stuff Blues.

Thought we were going to win the Leverkusen game and draw at Madrid tbh but this is okay as well

We were poor for the first 25 minutes.

The Don should have saved their goal, and was a bit shaky on a corner he flapped at - hopefully that's out of his system. Against that, Courtois fucked up for our first goal but went on to make several "worldies" - we could have got 6 or 7 but for his brilliance.

Great to see Haaland change his method on the penalty - I was hoping he'd start putting in a hesitation and it worked a treat. Immediately before it, I thought he looked nervous and I feared the worst; he tucked it away with aplomb.

Foden didn't manage to get in to the game at all. Hopefully better days are to come for him in the Champs League.

Overall, I felt we were good value for the win. Bellingham looked the prima donna that he very obviously is - and a bad loser - and the big bonus: Savinho came on and wasn't shite! I hope he'll take confidence from that cameo as Pep seems addicted to bringing him on no matter what the state of the match is.

Brilliant result and well done all those travelling blues who were fortunate enough to witness a memorable win.
