President Trump

Are they mutually exclusive? European powers have always had some power to act independently outside the NATO umbrella. France continues to have military entanglements in Africa, for example. If Europe wanted to put their weight behind Ukraine and support a harder line there's not much the Trump people could do that they haven't already done. I'm sure there would be tantrums but the draft defense bill restricts his ability to draw down Europe-based troop levels.

Right now they seem to be content letting Trump take the lead on negotiations and the resultant heat, which is politically convenient for them but not helpful to Ukraine.
You haven’t really answered the question, which was about how Europe manages a relationship with a hostile US administration, given you think it should continue to support the alliance.

for relevance Guisborough Town's average attendance is double 200 people - thats Northern League Div 1 - lies, damned lies and camera angles

It doesn’t really matter how many attend. What he says, goes global - and there are plenty of people/organisations who will be emboldened and encouraged.

Thats the aim, not a few extra votes I. Some local election

If, and I know with this aresehole its a big if, this is a genuine truthful post, all I see is his administration are that concerned about his mental capability that he's being subjected to cognitive examinations on a regular basis to monitor his mental deterioration. If this is the case thats fantastic news, if we can survive his decline
He’s not written it. No spelling mistakes. Capitalisation of random words is fairly typical of him though and not too difficult to impersonate.

I don't know how to answer that except in generalities as managing the relationship will depend on the particular question and the people involved. But I think Europe would be well-served charting its own course and expanding its own military capacity while waiting for the Trump situation to resolve for better or worse. As I was saying a few months ago the US has been pivoting to the Indo-Pacific since Obama and Europe isn't the priority it once was. To me that's an opportunity for Europe to reassert themselves.

He might have just got wind of the Guardian's famous April 1st issue with the special feature about the island of San Serif and its dictator General Pica.

Win a two week holiday on the island with James Hunt courtesy of Texaco :-)

More innocent times then and the contrast between the decency of the then WH incumbent and the current one couldn't be starker.

What if you just delete your apps before you fly out ? How would they know.

If it’s been put in place to stop terrorists entering the US. If Facebook was around in 2001, do you think the 9/11 hijackers would have been updating their statuses with selfies of them boarding planes and what they were about to get up to?

Who is gonna check 5 years of social activity and 10 years of email addresses for millions of tourists. Shambles.

Also. Who the fuck would want to go now?

It’s just a way to scare people into not denouncing Trumps polices from now on. Imagine the uproar from the right if Starmer bought this in.

If you’ve got $1m you can get a gold Trump card 270 days a year visa..

There’s a chance of a future platinum Trump visa for $5m, with whatever that may give.

The ‘trumpcard’, and it’s officially called that

They are expecting to raise $1t from it to ‘pay off the National debt’… so that’s 1,000,000 people needing to buy it to get to that figure…

The bullshit spouted and lapped up, continues to be staggering

Those Venezuelans, eh!

Cheeky, I have to say, smuggling drugs in the form of oil barrels on a legitimate tanker! Tch, you just can't trust anyone these days can you!.

Venezuela is under an embargo from the USA to stop it selling oil and upsetting the world order. In 2005 they set up an agreement with other Caribbean countries to provide them with oil at a discounted price.

This followed the nationalisation of Venezuelas oil industry by Hugo Chavez. Venezuela is sat on the worlds largest oil (and gold ) reserves but is unable to benefit from these because of the USA

Once again a country is brought to its knees by America ...........because Socialism.

No doubt the ulterior motive is regime change.

It's even got its own Wikipedia page! 48 years ago...

Here's the whole thing.

I'm guessing visa prices are going to have to go up to cover the cost of administering this.

It's going to absolutely decimate tourism.

I hope the UK reciprocate and demand exactly the same for them.

We won't because we're not stupid enough to do that.

It won't really be implemented, it's a way to scare people to not criticise his government and what they're doing.

If it stops workers from going there then its a way to demand something from other governments in return for waivering it.
