BBC choosing not to write much about us winning in Madrid, preferring instead to focus on Alonso potentially losing his job.

Imagine if any other English side had come from a goal down to beat Real Madrid away. There’d be at least three articles in praise of them.

Instead there’s two on some **** from Arsenal getting a couple of goals against a bang average set of Belgians.
Yeah but he’s one of LEGO heads starlets like eze and Saka so they get special treatment from the BBC

Whereas O’Reilly scores and has a blinder and barely gets a mention.

Not the lengthiest article by the BBC, despite the significance of the win. Pretty devoid of emotion too.

Why does it also feel like it's written by AI?

BBC News - Analysis: Guardiola's men keep cool in cauldron

Compare it to the essay Liverpool got for their win over Madrid last month:
What a write up that is. 265 words. 265 words to describe an English team beating, in the BBC's eyes and pre-teens all around the world, the biggest bestest club in the world. Should be fucking embarrassed.

To be fair, the City article is a reduced version of the main one they did (link) below.

Can't say I ever watch European games not involving City. At most, casual channel hop to check scores during advert breaks. Even so, there seems to be a very noticeable difference in tone to our games. Almost manic enthusiasm over slightest action. Competition to try and say manchester utd the most times. Usually feels like we're the foreign team on our games.
Strangely, I think I prefer it to constant smoke up the arse but some balance would be nice once in a while

What possessed you after we've just won away at Real Madrid to get the calculator out, log onto a rag fanzine website, and compare how they rate rag players versus how they rate City's? They're not exactly going to be saying how good their noisy neighbours are, are they?
The muen you silly boy, aka the Manchester Evening News but known by a lot of us Blues as the manchester united evening news (muen) based on its perceived bias. I always look at the marks they give our players out of interest and was staggered how low they marked us after a win away at madrid and so I thought I’d check how THE SAME SUPPOSEDLY IMPARTIAL MANCHESTER NEWSPAPER had marked our cunting neighbours the night before against two point wolves and noted they had marked them higher than us. So sorry it’s offended you, I can’t sleep more than half an hour at a time due to the effects of a stroke I had 5 months ago, and tbh I used to be an accountant and adding up 11 numbers took me all of 10 seconds. Surprised you didn’t know what the muen was based on your username. Fucking hell
