That's why I turn on a couple of minutes before kick off, go off to fix a coffee and maybe a sarnie at HT, and turn off immediately the final whistle sounds. I can’t be doing with inane punditry filled with bitterness.
Greatest ever post on Bluemoon got it all sussed….kudos pal;)

BBC Sports Headlines.

Back to back defeats for Real Madrid against Manchester City.

The presenter then goes on about Real Madrid's 2nd defeat in a row, etc, then on to Alonso's press conference, followed by Pep's press conference.

If Nico O'Reilly , midfielder turned left back , academy product and twenty years old , England player and goalscorer last night away in Madrid , played for any of the three red tops TNT would have been orgasmic and they'd have requested a public holiday . As it was the post match had all the enthusiasm of a wake . Heck , the pundits were all in black .

Keep doing it, though, as it keeps the fire smouldering in our bellies. ....boys in blue , coming after you ...

It was just a laugh that died in the 70's
Basically half of the Kippax chanted Celtic and in response the other half chanted Rangers.
I accept some took (religous) allegiance to one of the 2 Glasgow clubs but most took it as a laugh.
It wasn't quite the half and half scarfs of today but it was half and half hats. Never saw shirts ?

The religion bit was that allegedly the rags were a catholic club and we were protestant but I don't think that's true.
I saw a Rangers fan in the Lord Lyon before the Luton relegation game, in 83, in a half City and Rangers shirt stitched together. He asked me if I also supported Rangers to which I said I only support City. He didn't look very happy.

“Fletch” is a pub bore who won’t stop rabbiting when you’re trying to concentrate

Also, on 90mins he said “what do you make of Real Madrid” - I’m no card carrying conspiracy theorists but if Liverpool or United were winning away at Real Madrid, I don’t believe the commentators would ask about a Spanish team rather than the English team they are covering
I muted the commentary after half time . My City Haters Bingo card was Full House in record time . I thought I'd struggle with opposition excuse of Injury Struck Plucky Underdogs square, as it's an away game at the Bernebau, but I had that square done three times in the first ten minutes and broke my dabber. Two goals in the first half and the Unenthusiastic Response to City Goal and Not Calling a Nailed on Penalty a Penalty squares fell then, the final hurdle ....No mention of the Referee Bias , Rudiger and his GBH on KDB or Stunning City Academy Players on the Pitch rounded things off . Thank you Mr Fletcher . Silence is golden and claim my prize .

Not the lengthiest article by the BBC, despite the significance of the win. Pretty devoid of emotion too.

Why does it also feel like it's written by AI?

BBC News - Analysis: Guardiola's men keep cool in cauldron

Compare it to the essay Liverpool got for their win over Madrid last month:

Why the fuck was slippy part of the punditry team, they usually try and get an ex player from both sides. We had Joleon, but Gerrard??. Was it to get a City hater involved

We get the top headline on the BBC sports section this morning - 'Alonso's stay of execution despite loss to Man City'. 'Despite'?

There's then two bits about Arsenal and a while load of champions league moments which include Salah, Rashford, Arsenal, Reus being in the crowd. Can't spot any mention of the England left back scoring his first CL goal at the Bernabeu.

So no actual match report, just a mention about a Spaniard possibly losing a job in Spain. Do I need to upgrade my licence fee to see stuff about an English team?

It's almost as if they want Madrid to sack their manager ....can't think why ? Pure clickbait for Dippers .
