Alvarez was a much better goal scorer but Omar is a much better presser and links up with Erling better as a secondary striker.

It's like splitting hairs imo and I like them both.

What I don't like is Pep not playing a 4 4 2 or 4 1 3 2 or 2 1 5 2 so we keep having really good players wanting to move on for the sake of their careers.

Alvarez was the closest I have seen to Tevez in regards to work rate from a forward.

Over reaction. There’s no room for him at the minute, Pep trusts the current players that are playing and that’s working at the minute. I think he’s class, but at the same time I don’t see how he gets the chance to to get his form up.

I think he’ll be a shock exit in the summer. Playing him always feels like he’s being shoehorned in, he’ll eventually reach a point where he realises he has to make a big decision. It’s the Jesus/Alvarez situation again, and will always be that way whilst Haaland is here.

We might just have to get an inferior young version of Jaaland to simply be the backup striker.

He'll get some good game time, and hopefully come back fitter and stronger for the run in to the end of the season.

Absolutely but I think he could have been used a little more effectively over the last few weeks, particularly in games such as Newcastle away and Leeds at home

Did fine in his cameo, there seems to be an expectation lately that players coming on for 10 minutes put in the motm performances. He put himself about, chased things down and tried to break away with it once or twice, unrealistic to have expected him to have done much more than he did.

He's a willing runner, just like Jesus. Not a lot more than that. Like Jesus, pretty much a one-season wonder.

A Liam Delap type who are a lot worse, but have a similar playstyle and build to haaland.

I think if we keep signing top players for this role, we'll keep selling them 18 months later. I think haaland isn't super injury prone these days either.

We learnt the hard way with Rodri it takes one injury to derail the season. If we have to keep buying players and flipping them so be as long as we don’t lose money.

Marmoush is on very high wage, much higher than what Alvarez was on
I'd have preferred to have £20m less in the bank account and kept Alvarez.

Agree. It’s hard for me to think of anyone that pressed as diligently as Alvarez. He was everywhere.
