Palace field 5-6 firm starters tonight, but some key players like Mateta haven't even traveled.

Mateta has been managing a knee injury since the international break and Munoz is out for 4-6 weeks.

Against us I expect them to go
-------------Henderson
-----Richards-Lacroix-Guehi
Clyne--Wharton--Kamada--Mitchell
--------????????------Pino
----------------Mateta

Hughes, Lerma or Nketiah for that last spot.

It could be Sarr but he's also been out injured.

Every player has travelled except Mateta with that knee issue and Sarr with the ankle injury. 6 are starting, 7 if Nketiah starts, as he did at Fulham.

Hopefully a tough 90mins tonight as they really need the points.

I'd go same again in part because players like Marmoush, Khusanov and RAN have played so few minutes that I feel they might struggle. I am assuming that Stones, Kovacic and Rodri will be out. We need to bring back Marmoush and RAN into the squad after the ACON. I do not think a one-off game is the right moment. They need continuity.

It depends too on the fatigue factor. Away games after a CL away game are notoriously difficult but it does not always work out that way.

I think the outcome of this game might also depend a lot on the team that Palace pick tonight.
ACON might actually work in our favour and get them both match fit.

Marmoush was lumbering around and didn't seem able to go faster than a jog after 5 mins on the pitch last night.

Heavy rotation, I know the Leverkusen game will have scarred some fans and Pep included, but it must be done, with some key players staying in.

I would still start Haaland and Donna, make it clear that some starters need to be there, when Haaland doesnt play it's almost unfair how the subs have to play in a completely different way.

Nico G has to play DM, nobody else available unfortunately. He is knackered but must start.

The rest are pretty easy.

Reijnders for Foden.
Savinho for Cherki.
Marmoush for Doku.
Lewis for Bernie.

This means Bobb is benched but id like to see him subbed in for Reijnders at some point.

Ake for Gvardiol.

Khusa for RB only because Savinho can br a wide RW and Khus makes more of a back 3, and Ait Nouri at LB to let Marmoush drift central.

Keep Dias for leadership since Stones is also injured.

4 starters still in that.

Palace played a strong side at Shelbourne. Got 3-0 up by half-time then took their 3 best players off at half-time. That's the way you do it Pep.

It sounds more like a refreshing holiday than a draining football match.

Only problem with that side is that it'll lose.

Dear god

Maybe, or the starting 11 that's knackered loses because of energy, or increase their chances of injury due to overplaying.

At some point we need to rest them and it was very evident against Madrid.

4 starters should still bring the leadership that was lacking at Leverkusen.

They get the rest next week when Pep puts out the fringe players against Brentford.

Very difficult game this, think we'll have to suffer for large parts of the game after Wednesdays exertions.

Donarumma, Khusanov, Dias, Gvardiol, O'reilly, Gonzalez, Reijnders, Savinho, Cherki, Doku, Haaland

No thanks I’d rather we don’t throw the game like we did against Leverkusen

No chance, leave the high rotation for Brentford, use the subs bench on Sunday

assume you want to toss this game off as if you send that line-up out it'll lose by 2 clear goals.

We fucking owe this lot especially that **** in net Henderson big time. That Glasners a dislikeable twat as well.
24 hrs more rest and recovery than them. I expect Pep might go unchanged unless we've got any knocks.
I want and expect a dominant performance and a win. Common Blues. Statement Time. An opportunity to go top and put the bottlers under pressure.
