No I doubt that.

Very few are mentally tough as Rodri.

But it was scary what I was reading while I was researching ACL's and responses from players that had prior ACL's.. horrendous nagging recurring injuries and pains in the knee everytime you put weight on it.

Wish him a speedy and complete recovery though!

Yep. People act like he's laid up in his flat smoking 2 packs a day binging old episodes of Top Gear and Eastenders downing 2 bags of crisps in a go.

He's a ballon d'or winning top level athlete who sustained a major injury for fuck sake. Everyone said Gundo was crocked when we bought him... turned out ok.

It oisses me even more when he was even saying he needs cover and rest and thr warning signs where there when was injured at euros but we chose to save money and try to get every minute of him and now his career is probably done . Whoever s idea that was should be hammered for it .

Unfortunately that is a distinct possibility, however ACL surgery and recovery is infinitely better than Bell and even Lake's era. His game is not predicated on pace so it might not affect him as much as some players
He's still young and let's hope he has an Adrian Peterson (NFL Running Back) type recovery

But the control of the ball remains a main feature of our tactics. And nobody is better than Rodri at giving a structure and rhythm to possession based football. He's likely to replace Bernardo and play together with Gonzalez in big games.

The way Pep is talking about Rodri now is what he should have been saying in May. Starting him 3 games in a week around that arsenal game was plain negligent and that's why he is now weeks if not months behind where he might otherwise had been.

At least he seems to have learnt his lesson and he'll be eased back in. Us fans really need to stop wondering when he'll be back and just write him off for the season and consider it a welcome bonus when he does feature. His aim will be to be fit for the world cup and to go into next season with a clean bill of health.

May as well forget rodri being a meaningful part of City's campaign this year. Too delicate leading up to what would potentially be his last world cup.

That's why he won't rush himself.

Spain are favourites and he has already won everything in the game pretty much so far in his career bar that trophy.
