16 | Rodri 2025/26

His radar was off but it's so, so good to have him back. Whilst it didn't happen today he sees so many passes and intercepts/covers so much from a defensive standpoint.

When he gets up to speed we'll have the world's best midfielder back which will make a massive difference to us in and out of possession.
 
Rusty but right back in the heart of the team. Conducted everything even if his passes were a little wonky. Wont be long before hes fully back
 
Misplaced a lot of passes, however the way he commands the game is simply second to none. gets the ball and scares the opponent off with his stature.
 
All about him rebuilding trust in his body and ridding the general rustiness.

The timing of this tournament is perfect for him. Hopefully a few games will rebuild all that and make him mentally ready for the new season.
 
My worry is it's a two year injury - but i suspect the incredibleness of Rodri will be back sooner, i'm hoping October we start to see the real Rodders.
 
Great to see him back and if must take bollocks to go into tackles after coming back. From a major injury and you could see how the team felt calmer with him on the pitch .
 
It will take time. Rodri has to rediscover the rhythm of the game which he very much controlled as well as the weight and direction of his range of passes. It may take another year maybe sooner. It will click one day. Until then it's a case of nursing him back after a serious injury.
 
Needs protection next season! 29 today and after a ACL injury, the Nico Gonzalez signing will be more important than we currently realise
