Seat Counters 25/26

I have absolutely zero clue as to what a JQuery is. But it feels like we've just jumped from a portable black and white TV with a coat hanger for an ariel, straight to a 90" wall mounted, UHD, 4K, OLED, in one leap.
All we need now is flapjack to write some code that feeds his data into this thread once an hour and then that’s it. Seat counting as we know it will be dead forever. Sitting at the PC five times a day tapping on a calculator will just be a hazy, happy memory from a bygone era.

Tickets remaining for League Cup Quarter Final v Brentford.

Level 1: 0

Level 2: 134

Level 3:
Block 304: 209
Block 305: 117
Block 306: 178

Total: 638 tickets left
Probably nearly 50k tickets sold for the game
This won’t be far off attendances that United get for early round/lesser interest EFL Cup and Europa games.

Slightly off topic, but just looked at the first 4 home attendances for the 1955-56 season

Villa 36,999
Arsenal 35,955
Cardiff 32,240
Blackpool 63,956

How the fuck did that happen?
In that 1955-56 season, City finished 4th and Blackpool finished 2nd. Would have been seen as a big game against a local rival.

In 1953 Blackpool won the FA Cup in arguably the greatest FA Cup final of all time. They also had Stanley Matthews, people would go to watch matches just to see him play. I think they were viewed as an entertaining side, worth watching.

You’re falling for fake news. Read the last few pages. This is why Seat Counters need to take some responsibility for their figures and should maybe pass some kind of test before being allowed to contribute to this thread.

We were certainly a fickle bunch because the attendance was bigger for the Blackpool game than against United (who finished the season as Champions)
