After a bit of a disjointed first half, in terms of sloppy passing at times, a bit to open in midfield, I Thought second half we were much improved. Defence was solid from front to back. Controlled the ball better and great goals. Savi looked like prime Sane with that run.

Some serious exciting players giving us real cutting edge through the flanks and the middle. That coupled with a less powder puff defence and Nunes coming from zero to hero means we are seriously going to challenge for silverware.

Great defending, & ( hardly) no bozo moments, it was either a slight tactical shift from Pep in the 2nd half or a bollocking at half time that tightened up the midfield ( did Foden move more central?) and Savinho with a devastating break for the 3rd.

Same as Madrid really, the second best team but we got away with it. I think we have scored 5 goals from 6 chances over the two games, of which 2 were penalties and one from a corner.

We aren't going to carry on getting away with performances like this. Rodri is needed back desperately.
