Crystal Palace (A) I PL I Post Match Thread

Thought the performance in the last 30 mins was excellent. Really hard work and team spirit.

Excellent goals and that extra bit of quality when it mattered.

Still think our midfield looks a bit lightweight at times and that caused us a few problems at times.

Great win after playing Madrid. Well done to the players for digging in and once again the fans for their great backing again.

A great battling performances that.
Not at our best, especially first half.
Much better second half.
Defended brilliantly though as a team.
Bodies on the line, working hard to keep a clean sheet.
I’ve been screaming for some fight from this team.
Today we got it.
3 goals too and didn’t need any own goals to get the win either ; )
A big win that, Palace away was never gonna be easy.
A team performance to be proud of.

Wheres all them whinging bastards from half time. All seen your arses yet ? Yes we weren`t great but I think some of you think we should be steamrolling all our opponents and today we played a very good team and to win 0-3 on their home patch was fucking brilliant.Three points away from home will fucking do me and I couldn`t care less how we played, we`re keeping the pressure on the Gooners
Well done to the team and Pep.

Very professional performance in the end, after a meh first half. That's not an easy place to go, but we handled them pretty well, in my opinion....

Only 4 shots on target out of 16 for them, compared to our 6/7. And 62% is not to be sniffed at against them. I'd have gladly settled for that at 1:55*.

Probably at 2:45, if I'm being honest.

Half the team looks absolutely gassed (mainly from the backine), conceded chance after chance and yet somehow 3-0 win.

Mateta though, fucking nuisance to deal with. Nketial came on and game over for Palace.
Apart from the pino chance, where were all the other big chances we conceded?

Cherki and Foden are magical in this team.

Both Nico's and Nunes are imperious at present too.

Like the look of that Pino a lot, great little player.

Very good 3 points that. Wee bit of a gap now for the top 3.

Kinell I made the mistake of looking at HT.

Mental cases.

I wouldn't mind Glasner at least getting an interview for the job when Pep does eventually leave. What he's doing with this Palace team is very impressive.

Vital three points. I thought we played much better in the second half. Nunes and Cherki the standouts in my eyes. O'Reilly was rock solid as usual.
Glasner is a good manager, no doubt about that ..... just unfortunate that his team came up against a City side determined to carry on the good work accomplished in the Madrid win and take points out of this game ..... we got away with things early on when they missed one or two chances, but you could see the determination and confidence grow throughout the City side after Haalands goal.

We are the team with the best attack and best GD in the league.

It wasn't the greatest performance but the team spirit is fantastic.

Top performances:

Nunes
Cherki (the player Liverpool thought were buying from Leverkusen)
O'Reilly
Haaland (just a machine)

Foden's finish was brilliant.

I'll be surprised if the bookies don't change the odds for City winning the league. They should be similar to Arsenal's (maybe shorter, mind).

Same as Madrid really, the second best team but we got away with it. I think we have scored 5 goals from 6 chances over the two games, of which 2 were penalties and one from a corner.

We aren't going to carry on getting away with performances like this. Rodri is needed back desperately.

Unbelievable result. If we are honest, the performance overall wasn't great and 3-0 flatters us greatly but some ruthless efficiency from limited chances and a series of wasted opportunities from them made for a very welcome role reversal.

A very tidy and professional last 30 minutes, which is something we've rarely seen this season. Keep the pressure up and let's see what Arsenal are made of.
