Are the board actually inside the stadium or are they just shouting at the main entrance?. One dodgy season which is far from over, they are a strange breed to put it mildly.
Their entitlement is worse than their paranoia. Which is mind blowing tbh.

Never bloody happy despite winning trophies galore.
As you said "a strange breed" indeed.

Things were so much worse when Rangers were winning 9 in a row, the stadium was falling down, crowds were down and Fergus McCann came to the rescue, they are second, 6 points behind with two games in hand, the mind boggles.

Difficult game away to Dundee United. The lad Sapsford(sp) could cause them problems with his running in behind. Noncey simply has to win this game

the current Celtic squad has to be their worst squad ever - none of them would be starters in a mid table Championship side.

If McGregor is your captain and best player, you know you've got problems
The thing is, that’s not the Celtic board’s fault… it’s the decline of Scottish football due to lack of interest due to one team always winning that’s the problem.

The SPL is rated as the 33rd best league in the world these days: https://globalfootballrankings.com/rankings/leagues/men

…when you think the EFL Championship is rated as the 7th best league in the world, you can see why the SPL has nose dived.

Players wouldn’t leave Oxford United to sign for Celtic these days, what would be the point? Are a few European games worth the hassle? A full championship season trying to stay up with Oxford would be more fulfilling than playing for Celtic in the SPL. Around Europe, players would be better off staying in leagues like Holland, Portugal, Belgium, Turkey, Greece, Poland etc. than playing for Celtic in the SPL.

The SPL needs a decade of more varied winners to push interest in the league up to attract better players to play in the league and move the league back up in quality. Celtic will likely still win the league this season, they might not, but it’s likely they will end up doing so… but it’s probably better for them long term if they don’t!

I know he reverted back to 4-3-3 yesterday but he really set the tone when he tried to shoehorn his formation with only left footed centre halves fit. Sacked before February

Great to see do many suddenly commenting.
Vulture Squad.

Im sure you will all be back saying well done if we turn this around after the window.;)

Nobody surprised our end at yesterday. We onow hpw shit ee sre and how so many of our players have shat it. It is times like these that you need a strong board to react. Sadly we dont have that, so once again, we festriy ourselves through complacency and being run by useless cunts.
We need at least 7 players to go into the team. Although what four retain a place is beyond me on current form. Backs to the wall stuff and all our own making. Its how we roll. Anyway. These things are sent to try us. Lets see how we respond.

Hahahahaha hahahahaha brilliant well done St Mirren, maybe Celtic should have stuck with Martin O’Neill till end of season then bring the new bloke in ..
Really wasn't rocket science was it.... Bring a new guy in with zero knowledge of Scottish football just in time for a crucial league game v Hearts, a European game where a point would have been a great result to help qualification and a cup final when although short-term MOR had turned them round.

The smart move would have been to bring the new guy in and shadow O'Neill for a couple of months/rest of the season.

I have no horse in the race in Scotland but, how many mistakes can a board make especially when it owns almost all the cards .

Watched a Hearts v Celtic game from 1967 , no tri colours no bell ends jumping on the latest fad , you could hear the fans singing football songs ..

Celtic and rangers be better resigning from Scottish football and starting at the bottom of the English pyramid they could be in championship in 9 years

I class you very much one of the more knowledgeable on the forum but I am afraid I can’t agree with much of what you’ve posted.

Oxford United? Really??? Poor choice of team.

There are literally dozens of examples but just one that’s topical. Joe Rothwell came as a highly thought of Championship player but is miles short of what’s needed and is now on his way out in January with Sheff United leading the chase.

Rangers recent problems are due to shopping in the English market and its hugely inflated prices for bang average players. Celtics success has been based on a far better recruitment team and bringing in players from little known markets.

There are many Old Firm fans who claim they want a more competitive league but I’m not sure many really do. There are far too many who want only success for their own club and screw the rest. Our league has been run by one club for the benefit of one club but hopefully with Rangers new owners and Bloom at Hearts the tide is turning. Celtic no longer have the huge financial advantage!

The Old firm do have weaker squads at the moment but I believe Hearts , Motherwell, Hibs and to a lesser extent United , Aberdeen and St Mirren have improved greatly and are now capable of, on their day, taking points of the Big two.

As for no interest in our game……

SCOTLAND TOPS EUROPEAN ATTENDANCE PER CAPITA STATS IN UEFA REPORT FOLLOWING RECORD CROWDS

SCOTTISH FOOTBALL LEADS THE WAY FOR ATTENDANCE PER CAPITA IN EUROPE
For the third year in a row, football fans across Scotland have recorded significantly higher top-flight attendances per capita than any other league in Europe, a new UEFA report published today has revealed.

Kinda blows that theory out the water but what I’d concede is it is poorly marketed and that’s down to Lawwell and his pet lap dog Doncaster who have continually undersold our game.

Hopefully the resurgence from ‘the other’ clubs continues and the new investors in our game continue to back their clubs and the product improves

Is it no a wee bit rich claiming Vulture Squad when you consider the kicking Rangers got for the tax man changing the rules on EBTs. And then strangely settling quietly with Liverpool and Arsenal but used Rangers as an example...??

No doubt you retort with the zombie pish patter.

A wee bit of humility could be just what Celtic need at the moment.
