WSL Villa (H) 14/12/25 Match Highlights:

Certainly would not have predicted that scoreline, even that we would have gone in ahead at the break. Villa were very good until we scored.
Bunny what can you say? Some nice finishes there. Once we went three up we were the better team and it was good to see us keep going for more goals.

It was very noticeable that we kept on going until the end. I wonder if Alex had a word when she came on and told everybody to remember 2 seasons ago and it might come down to goal difference.

Bunny has now scored as many goals in the last 1.2 matches as the first 9.8. She was languishing at under 11% conversion rate prior to her first against Leicester, but I did think that there'd be a match where she'd take the big chances and a couple of half chances would go in too. Consequently, she's now up to near 19%. (Still a bit down on her last 2 seasons.)

One game at a time and all that - but if we could win the next 2, it pretty much guarantees us being top after Chelsea H/Arsenal A, and that for me is when the title race starts in earnest.

Bunny now has more than 100 goals for City. Just the four today! She caused total chaos in the Villa area all through the game. Well done.

Thought Villa were a pretty decent side, all they need are a couple of better finishers and they’ll be challenging for silverware, maybe a cup? On the whole we deserved the win and we were too strong in the end, the second half in particular we were much the better side.

Am I the only one irritated by the changing of thread titles and posts withing these match threads?
I was going to post the highlights earlier before I noticed that the title had been changed so I checked the opening post and saw them there. Personally, I would much prefer the OP to stay the same as can always edit the title to point to new additions within the thread.

Isn’t it great that both our women’s and men’s teams have the best strikers in football. Bunny Shaw is a global star..not that the UK media would know.
Tbf, the BBC has done a good write up on her achievement. I posted it in her thread but to save you looking...

BBC Sport link

Starts with the line "If Khadija Shaw had not already confirmed her status as one of the world's best players, she surely did on Sunday.".

I'm probably more irritated by the fact that I 'Liked' the original post, but it's now been completely rewritten so all context and integrity has gone

Shaw has star quality. She's a brilliant player but her personality on and off the pitch makes her stand out. Haaland is the same. You can see how the other players interact with Shaw. It is amazing that City have got two genuine global superstars at one time, one female, one male. A marketing person's dream.
