Hello all!

Getting married NYE (I know, I know)

Need to get cracking with my speech. Any advice other than to call the whole thing off?!

Start with "Friends, family and c*nts..." and then just wing it from there. Drop a C-Bomb early doors and nobody will remember anything you say after that.

Under NO circumstances use chat GPT. It's your speech, not Sam Altman's!

Groom is easy - everyone's on your side, you just have to be nice to everyone, especially your OH, of course. Be truthful and from the heart. That's it.

Saw the question and my immediate response was be kind and speak from the heart and you'll be fine. I'm no great orator but the night before, I jotted down a few simple bullets about how I was feeling, didn't try to be clever or funny just told it how it was and it went down very well.

Whatever you come up with, practice it over and over until you know it by heart and get the pacing and tone perfect. Has a far greater impact on the audience and your new wife, than just looking down reading it.

Get a few jokes in, say I asked the wife, obviously use her name where she wanted to go on honeymoon, she replied somewhere hot where she has never been before, so I booked her a week in the kitchen

I'll get my coat
