Wedding speech

Isn't that what the best man is for op?
I can't remember making a speech on my wedding day, maybe I did who knows,I was that pissed I know I didn't get laid.

Don't speak too fast as that's a killer!

When I've done Best .an speeches I always wanted to get the laughs in quickly as it settles nerves and gives you time to breathe!

Just remember everyone is on your side and to thank people.

I got married last February and said....

"I always thought when Aguero scored for City to win the league would be the happiest day of my life..... and I was right. Today is a close second, but nothings topping that"

As others have said, try to avoid internet speeches, make it personal to the two of you/your families.

Be nice
Know your audience
Practice
Written copy
Don’t drink too much night before
Don’t beat yourself up if not word perfect
Remember all the pressure is on best man
Somewhere in 5 - 10 minutes region should suffice otherwise people turn off
Watch you tube vids for tips
Enjoy your day.

Hope the microphone doesn’t go off like it did during my fotb speech!!!

Similar to my Fotb speech

Make sure you give everybody a good laugh you could start with , once upon a there was a rag club

Since when did the groom have to worry about a speech, you hand out flowers and shit, its the best man and father of the bride that get to go through hell on earth.

A speech by the groom should always start with a few jokes.

I suggest a couple of jokes that start out with, "I'm not saying that the wives ugly".

Then follow that up with a few gags starting with, "I'm not saying that the mother-in-law's fat".

Should go down a treat.

I gave my daughter away two years ago. I went through all the major stage gates in her life when we were with her
Ist day at school.leaving school taking her to uni, when she qualified as a doctor etc etc

But the most important day by far is obviously

She said it at the same time!!
That night in Istanbul!!!!

You're the groom so unless you start insulting people you're gonna be just fine. Keep it genuine, chuck one or two jokes in (leave it to the best man to be the funny one), compliment and thank the right people, be nice and prepare. Keep it under 10 minutes as well, no one wants to sit through a 30 minute speech. Important to engage your audience, so know you're speech and just have some cards to keep you on track if you lose your path.
