Just like City, everything Phil does comes with a caveat. Whilst sweeping up all the trophies, stats were interrogated to show why Foden wasn’t really all that & now in top form, 3rd on the prem top scoring charts & with 10 goals in 20 games this season he’s still not fucking good enough.

Phil has been and always will be.....sidelined.in this country.

The bbc or any other of the MSM in this country will simply not allow a Manchester City home grown player to be the superstar idol ..in the way that Gascgoine or maybe beckham was.

That's the truth of the matter....

I actually wish Phil would just announce his retirement from international football, and concentrate on the team which has been close to his heart all his life.
It would save a lot of effing about, and retain Energy for City.
Just a personal opinion.

It’s clear & organised for every single pundit saying he’s had his chance. When every pundit has the same opinion of a player despite his quality & backed by ignoring his current stats whilst comparing Bellingham & Morgan’s.

There is a lot I can say about Fodens treatment by our media over the last 9 years. You will have read my rants on here many a time ..

Let's just focus on today..

We have the bbc bigging up a player ahead of Phil ,whose team lie 16th in the premier league, this player might be half decent ,but he's playing for the 5th worst team in the top league in this country, never won nowt t as a player, and his manager..on the global stage is ,just a workaday dickhead who shouts a lot,and has also won nowt.

Compare with Phil Foden. Established Premier league great, haul of trophies, coached by the best Tactian in world football. Currently high in the premier league goal charts, has experience playing for England at all levels and major euro/ world cup tournaments ..( player of tournament for young England in india ..and don't forget his brilliant goal for young England in France where he dribbled from just short of the halfway line ,past 6 or 7 players, into the penalty area, made the keeper sit down,scored...and was dropped for the next game !!!..sorry " rested")

Now who do you think of these two players... would the bbc be bigging up for England International selection?

The whole thing stinks ...even the current England manager ( clearly under orders ) stating loud and proud in public that Fodens squad place is not guaranteed.
Wow.
Just wow.

And then we have our own fans chipping away at him!
No wonder his heads prob been in bits.

I think back to the days when the gifted Paul Lake made Bobby Robsons pre world cup squad of 40....I've had to wait that effing long before a Manchester City lad can be anywhere near the engine room of the national side.....and all I see is derailment
For whatever reason.

I'm fuming.

I think Thomas T. will take no notice of these arse licking wankers. Not like our gareth, who would bore your granny to death and let Bellingham do what the fuck he wanted.
I don’t know Gareth’s relationship with Pep (god knows I wouldn’t want to be stuck next to the boring **** at a dinner party) but apparently Pep and Tuchel have a great relationship and friendship from Pep’s time in Germany.

It’s possibly more likely Tuchel would take advice from Pep on Phil and ignore the media’s sentiments.
Gareth was just a limp wristed yes man who had the tactical astuteness of Gary Neville.

You get 2 tournaments for England. If you don't play to what is expected by the Fleet Street media, that's it, curtains.

You could have a 100 goal season. Doesn't matter. Your tarnished.

Foden has fallen into this, just like many greats before him.

Even Rodgers has bypassed him now as the man in demand to start as the 10. He is the new toy to play with.

I agree with you though. I'd call it quits like Scholes did.

Get out while you can I would be saying to him.

It was the Euros 18 months ago where it all started to go downhill for him last time.

One thing about last nights game is we can see how differently the two teams are reported on and directly compare when the apologists say we are paranoid and its all in our head. Look at the difference of how city WINNING a game 5-4 against a team who are notoriously better at home is reported when in comparison to the rags DRAWING a game against a team who hasnt won on the road since august and is without a win in 6 , its absolute night and day.

'One of the greatest ever premier league games'

Hilarious take.

United are fucking terrible defensiveley and wont be anywhere near come May
Can't believe the BBC are even trying to put a positive slant on that performance last night. A whole article asking where does it rank in the best games ever???? They've actually added it to a list of 14 games, HALF of which are rag games. Laughable

I'd argue that it wasn't even the best game this season. Surely our 4-5 with Fulham was better. I can tell you this though, if we had lost that game, it definitely would have been in there.

The media are basically thick, especially the BBC. Lots of goals for both teams does not mean it was a great game! It can mean that both teams are terrible and can’t defend (case last night) or on the odd occasion it’s an attacking masterclass, with multiple amazing moves and goals, or really high stakes, to that I can’t remember too many games (3-2 for the league for us, would say the defeat to Madrid with the two late goals - great game for the neutrals, France West Germany in the ‘82 World cup…)

It was a good game ffs.

Seen that on the BBC were was the rags 4-4 with Everton and what about the 6-1 at old Trafford or the 6-3,only games that highlight the rags in a positive light ..

Forthfar 4 East Fife 5 was a great game as well.
Lots of goals doesn't mean its a great game. Last night to lower half pl teams played out a 4-4 draw. Nothing special, shit goal keeping by the Bournemouth keeper gave rags two goals. What was brilliant about his keeping ?

License Payer sponsored fanzine writer Simon Stone BBC: A remarkable, chaotic, mesmerising Premier League thriller at Old Trafford captured the imagination even of the clinical operators in the dugout

Clinical operator Ruben Amorin? 6 clean sheets in 42 games. 4-4 at home to a team with one win in 8? That clinical operator. Beggars belief. BBC verify needs to take every one of his articles down.

This from MOTD is actually doing my head in - this line is absolutely not even close to being parallel to the lines on the pitch. it's blatantly off! I am baffled that they showed this on air!

Good shout. I thought at first glance it was the cut of the grass, but it isn't, and they've shaded the 'offside' section which makes it look more like thats the cut.
