Players who might improve us

Is Semenyo a little overrated?

I dont watch every game he plays, and when ive seen him ive been impressed but he excels when 1 vs 1 and has space to run, not sure how he does against a low block
He will end up being another Marmoush. His game style is more for Liverpool than city. Wouldn’t surprise me if he chose Liverpool alone because of their game play. The winger profile fits needs is hard to get or barely available

Still Anderosn over Whatton but if we cant get Anderson then id love for us to go for Wharton

My priority for us in terms of #1 target is Olise but seeing how Cherki has integrated makes it seem a little less of a priority

So lets make Anderson happen, we have the money for it. Nico is exhausted (as is Bernardo), we need some more bodies in midfield

He seemed slow, quite leggy. No surprise, he's playing all the minutes, and there is no Kova to step in. Someone will have to be brought in during the window, preferably on day one.

we are linked to this guy

Watched 5 mins, wasn’t to sure to start with, but grew on me. Got a bit of N,Golo Kante about him. Because he is Ivorian the press in Turkey call him Petit Yaya.

Trabzonspor want €40m, after they bought him from French club Bastia summer just gone for €5.5m.

I'd take a hard look at Alex Jimenez 20 years old on loan at Bournemouth from AC Milan. Spent his entire youth career at Real Madrid. He can play at RB or LB equally. Can also play as a wide midfielder. Great pace, passing range, and can get stuck in. Doku couldn't get past him at all when we played them last month.

Bournemouth have obligation to buy with conditions (no. of starts) but have already indicated they want to buy anyway. Definitely a talented player and already Madrid are watching him with a potential plan to bring him back to Madrid. They have a buy back clause up to summer 2026 with Milan.

This is the Madrid model. You can see that with a few of their current 1st team squad. LB Carreras was sold to United in their academy. United sold him to another Spanish la Liga club and after 1 season Madrid brought him back full circle to Madrid where he is a main player for them. Current players Fran Garcia and Dani Carvajal all followed this model.

Makes a lot of sense based on what I've seen. He was impressive playing on the left further up the pitch at the Swamp on Monday night. I think he has the perfect profile to come in and join Nunes, NOR, and Ait Nouri at FB for us.

Based on what you've revealed it looks a long shot that we'd get him. Haven't seen us linked, but I would guarantee we're well aware of him. In addition to going back to Real I've seen him linked to Bayern and Chelsea as well..

Thanks for the info Blue...

It is a good shout for a player showing a lot of potential, I am sure he will end up at a top team within a couple of years.

With Trent and Carvajal at Madrid currently, it’s not a foregone conclusion Madrid bring him in unless one of these go. I believe Madrid have a €12m buy back up to summer 2026. Bournemouth may trigger his permanent move in January rather than end of season as they already decided they definitely want him, meaning Madrid have a decision to make. Bournemouth need to pay £17.5m and add ons to Milan.

if we are talking about Real Madrid youth

i quite the look of Chema Andres from Stuttgart, reminds me of Rodri

Carvajal will turn 34 in a few weeks and has struggled to remain fully fit since returning from ACL surgery...I think he's cooked at the top level...

Instead of buying Wharton, how about buying the next Wharton in Hayden Hackney? I havent seen a huge amount of him admittedly but hes english, young, relatively cheap and plays a position we need some depth in. Worth a punt? Anyone seen much of him?

Another of Real Madrids former academy prospect they are keeping close tabs on with thought of bringing him back for €13m buy back this summer or €18m following year. Ceballos is out of contract in 18 months and they think Andres could take his place in the squad. Real also often have 50% sell on rights in some of these transfers. They negotiate very well for the benefit of their club in transfers of their academy players.

Then there is Nico Paz remember whom they have buyback.
