Injuries 2025/26 | Doku ruled out for three weeks (p46)

Plantar Fascitis sufferers, get orthotics for your shoes. They help immensely. I used to feel like I was getting stabbed in my heels getting out of bed in the morning.

It's a process but they help. If you don't wish to deal with the NHS, you can get them custom made online and sent to you via the post. This is what I do now. It costs me some money but a pair or two a year for no pain is worth it to me. And please, stop wearing sandals if you wear them. They aggravate the condition.

To stay on topic, Stones was a great player for us and is still very good on his day. Unfortunately, some people are more prone to their bodies breaking than others.

Can’t help but feel for him.

Absolutely fantastic player, it’s horrible when your body continually lets you down.

Manageable if he is actually back and fully fit for Sunderland. Probably wouldnt have played tomorrow anyway, West ham at home we should have enough without him, will be a big loss for forest away but if he gets a good 2-3 week rest, It might refresh him and do him good in the long run. With the explosive player Doku is, injuries are going to be part and parcel of it, they're unavoidable.

No place for glass half full posters on bluemoon. ;)

I agree, he's played a lot of football and a break even through injury won't do him any harm....time for the Brazilian to show what he's got .

Doesn't help that he gets kicked around the place most days. Lets hope he's back for the start of the New Year.

How do you get the orthotic diagnosed and designed on line?

There is a company I use. You answer a number of questions on their website. I previously had been diagnosed with chronic plantar fascitis so it wasnt a question for me. They have doctors review your answers.

I received a box in the post with hard foam which I stepped into, per directions. It made "casts" of my feet. I posted it back to them in a prepaid shipping envelope. Within a few weeks I received my new orthotics. They work as well as ones I received and had made through office visits.
