got to serve 2/3, so 14 years.
14 years to sit and reflect on a complete moment of madness, which resulted in many lives ruined, including those of his partner and kids. 14 years to sit and reflect how avoidable it was. 14 years to sit and reflect on how he will be approaching 70 when he’s released

What a complete prick.
Seems the guy just ‘lost it’ in the moment….sad

After hearing the summing up, deserved everything he got. Fucker ran a 10 year old over and screamed get out of the way.
Scumbag.

Seems he’s just flipped and had one of the worst moments of madness ever. And now he’s ruined his life as a result.
Can't say I care much for his life, it's the others he ruined we should think about.

It does make you wonder how anyone can "lose it" that badly, didn't his rampage go on for 90 seconds ? and but for that guy stopping him would have continued.

From the BBC

"No defects were found with the car and Doyle was not under the influence of drink or drugs"

I guess the nature of the attack is so unthinkable you'd maybe have an assumption there were drugs involved
It was one of my first thoughts when I witnessed it.

I won't forget that night at Lime Street station. Ferals trying to push over barriers and kick in shutters to get into the station whilst a queuing system was in place.

Watch the video of his drive into the City Centre from his DashCam. He was driving like a maniac.. going through a Red Light , switching lanes , speeding etc. Clearly something had happened prior to him leaving home that has caused this meltdown. Not implying a family issue.

He did time when he was a young adult. 12 months for biting someone’s ear. More criminal charges too from years back, but he did then sort his life out - the judges words - until of course his rage-prone persona appeared during what should have been a nice day for some people in the city.

A very fucked up event.

Just asking , but are the security checks at Anfield now in line with everywhere else or are they more rigorous ? Not that I'm planning to go there anytime soon ...

Same as everywhere, they aren't special or different to anyone else, despite what they think.

It goes to show these "modern soul less bowls" as people who never go to games, call them are better equiped for crowd control.

Think the Etihad and large expanses around the stadium compared to Klanfield and Swamp that have been overdeveloped where the room isn't available.

That Munich tunnel at the Swamp is a fucking death trap for example. Away fans are sitting ducks going in!
