PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I do wonder if the fact the PL shit the bed and rushed their accusations and divided head first into this is part of the reason for the delay, as the true scope of their obliviousness has opened them and the case up to actual examination.

It can’t be lost on the panel the scale of this case, getting bigger by the week, and not to mention the scrutiny they will be under the second they announce one way or another.

Having said all that, how much longer could it possibly take?
Those who controlled the PL at the time may have intended to clog up the whole system and/or are simply indifferent to the cost to PL members.
They may simply want to show the whole world what happens when UK law has to be observed and how things moved much more rapidly when they controlled the Appeal Process.

does anyone else find it funny how the big 6 clubs keep poaching cfg executives yet call city corrupt
I take being called corrupt as a compliment.
No doubt the Mr K business plan and investment strategy has proved to be superior to others.
Incidentally, during our ride to being an unwanted success we have managed to force the PL to abandon it's version of corruption and actually obey UK law.

very good point

He's a pretty important cog in the wheel. Certainly a loss.
I asked Al what a DoFT does and it corresponds with what I thought, it's the person responsible for the negotiations with respect to players transfers and contracts. He does the bidding of the transfer committee dont see how he will be a loss. Its what the club secretary use to do

Director of Football Transactions is a senior executive responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of player transfers and contracts within a football club or a multi-club ownership model. This role is a specialized function within the broader duties of a Sporting Director or Technical Director, focusing primarily on the business and administrative side of player movement.

Definitely think we're squeaky clean in the trophy winning season's. All done above board and it's really pissing the opposition off. They want our success stopped at all cost.

Who would’ve thought we would enter 2026 without knowing what the outcome is?

Cue the announcement at 23:59 31/12/25
Since the BS of June? Quite a lot of us, really.

It's a ridiculous joke at this point, and paints a pretty damning picture of the whole process. I wouldn't trust any of them to decide what coffee they'd want in the morning; probably take them a month.

What a good awful website the Manchester evening news is. Why do that shit, nobody wants all the spam and ads stopping you read what you actually went there for.

Anyway last paragraphs says this and it confused me tbh

"Borson also believes that neither the club nor the Premier League should be held responsible for the case dragging on for years.

"Well, look, nobody knows because even the parties themselves expected to have been told by now," he added.

"All the lawyers are surprised there is no decision at this stage, and that's on both sides. I'll tell you who's holding it up - the panel making the decision. They hold the pen.

They are the people who everybody waits for to deliver the decision. Well, nobody knows. We know the long list - you can cobble it together from all of the people on the judicial panel - but we don't know who is on that list.

"We can make some guesses that it's probably two lawyers and maybe one accountant. But we don't know who is on the panel and what they were told to produce by when.

"We can now assume I think, given how long it has been and that everybody is so surprised that they don't have a decision, that actually there's very little guidance given to them and they weren't effectively paid for their time from the moment the case ended."
