End of the day savio isn’t anywhere near semenyo and will never score the same number of goals .

Cherki isn't a winger we don't play a winger on the right unless savinho or bobb plays, Nunes plays wingback and cherki. will drift in and out.


both savinho and bobb ain't cutting the mustard as a goal threat, so basically we have no threat from right wing at present similar to what we have from doku on the left, biyong this lad wouldnbe a major boost to our attack, selling bobb and savinho a major boost to our coffers, so of can do both plus either Anderson or Guehi then our squad inproves for the run in.

Semenyo played as a centre forward and was probably the 17th best player on the pitch, bang mediocre. Weak, shocking first touch
And yet he scored a good goal
Granted he has improved since then after being reinvented as a goal scoring wide man and development isn’t always linear
But I would have called an ambulance and insisted you were sectioned immediately if you suggested that guy would ever play for City

I think its as much as its an opportunity at a fixed price on a player with dare i say Adama pace and power but can finish as well and the club think Pep can elevate him further? In truth, we cant get Olise, Doue, Barcola etc asd they are just too expensive so this deal at a release clause price is a no brainer.

I agree completely. I said Cherki as a winger as strongest team see us play him and Foden together as as you say he moves inside with a full back overlapping.

We need a few improvements and looks like this one will happen

Completely agree. He’s looked better last couple of games but that’s only because how bad he was looking before!!

Not 100% convinced on Semenyo, seems to have had a real jump in performance over the last year but hard to know if it’s a purple patch or he’s developing. However he is direct and he finishes well which will help as we can be a little shot shy.

Ideally yes, though think the midfielder we want probably won't be available until summer and can't see us buying a January stop gap.

As cover for Haaland presumably, but isn't that Marmoush's current role?

If Semenyo was part of City's squad he'd be on the bench as I prefer Doku and Cherki as inside forwards. He would though give City options. Is that a strong enough reason to buy him? I would not pursue this because it might preclude the acquisition of future players who might make a bigger impact.
