Marc Guehi | Leading target for City (p28)

Correct. We should wait until January.

I've not seen anything from him apart from the Newcastle goal to suggest he's going to be good enough for us. The concern is that the Norwegian manager had a pop at him about his attitude which could be a personality clash on its own, but he looks out of favour with Pep as well.
Lol.

Still seething from that 3-0 robbery on Sunday! Anyway I hope Guehi to you lot happens, if only because it will irritate the scousers. He's already a world class player, has stated he wants to play until he's 40. Without a doubt the best defender I've seen at the Palace. Just an incredible player, incredible bloke. Can see when he's interviewed how intelligent he is. Marvellous marvellous player, i'd love him to stay at Palace, but if not whoever gets him is very very lucky.
I don’t agree with that assessment but I will bow to your superior knowledge. If any fans would know about a robbery, it would be you men, given how the cup final played out.

If it came to an important stretch of games at the end of the year and through injuries or suspension Ake had to play a key role I’d have every confidence in him.

But like you say fair play for him to be looking for a move if not playing. If we react and get a younger version that’s great.
Ake would be the one that’s injured.

I don’t have the same faith in him any longer. Even when we get him out on the field, he doesnt look fit and it’s been that way for quite a while now.

Good player and a good value signing but it’s time to replace him.

Thanks for your assessment of the game on Sunday, and the player. If he came to us, rest assured we would look after him and hopefully see him develop into an even better player.

It seems a tad arrogant to say that certain players are a good fit with certain teams, but I wouldn't want to see Guehi play for Liverpool. He seems a down to earth, humble guy, which isn't part of the DNA of that club.

I guess this largely depends on whether Palace can bring in a replacement - is Ake to Palace part of the conversation?

It also depends on what Guehi's mindset is regarding the World Cup. He's in the 11 as things stand, does he back himself to stay in it by coming to City or does he fear he won't play regularly? If he does decide to move to us it shows his mentality is spot on.

Replacing a 30yr old who has won the lot but can't stay fit with a 25yr old proven PL defender for the money involved is an absolute no brainer.

From analysis of every shot, pass, cross & clearance. Semenyo, Gvardiol and Cherki are also in the top 5 most two-footed players in the league. Interesting that we have 2 and are heavily linked with 2 others

He'd be 26 next summer, which would then give us Dias (29), Gvardiol (24), Khusanov (22), and Resi (20). On paper, a decent spread of ages and experience, but it does leave us imbalanced in terms of four right-footed defenders to one left-.

Thanks for posting Marc.

Proper players can use both feet almost equally as well. When I used to scout it was always the first thing I looked for.
